Warning, this is the conceptual draft. I have to re-edit it for tone, but this pretty much fleshes out the concept.

Treatise on Low Ritual

The practices of the Circle of Blood may be included in the class of Low Ritual, and an understanding of the nature of the energies and spirits within this tome can only be attained with the understanding of the nature of low ritual. Low ritual is the process by which one attains understanding of the universe by drawing the forces within oneself, internalizing forces, and hence gaining mastery thereof. It is in this matter that the practice of Low Magic operates, by internalizing the forces of the universe, using colors and the concept of Chakra as foci for the internalization.

This practice differs from the other method of ritual, High Magic, in that High Magic seeks to evoke effect of external force, and through mere knowledge find power. The low ritualist will easily see the folly of this method, for without the intimacy of bringing the energies within oneself can true understanding of them be achieved. To grow ones ability to internalize these energies, which are drawn from spirits, or from the Sources themselves, various practices have been found.

The meditations serve the purpose of expanding the understanding within the spirit of the true-mind or the “spirit” of the energies. By meditation upon these, the low ritualist gains far more than mere knowledge, but an understanding of the whole. Once a ritualist masters the art of meditation, they may wish to further increase themselves, by learning the liturgies, which are as the meditations, but with greater focus. Whereas during practice of the meditations, ones mind flows free to grasp understanding, within the liturgies, ones mind is pulled into the focus of the liturgy until a state, which is often known to those who lack it as “epiphany”, occurs.

Once an understanding of the liturgical process is gained, one should then progress to the Canonical, which is the expansion of the foci created in the liturgies, into a more full understanding. When the transition from the liturgical to the canonical occurs it is as microcosm becoming macrocosm, from the finite hood of a point, the expanse of the cosmos can be seen. The canon allows individual foci such as the liturgies to reach convocation with one another, and each part becomes intertwined, and internalization can be fulfilled.

Once a ritualist has learned the use of all three of these tools, they can travel down the long road to the whole, the absolute emptiness, which is filled with Night.

Very cool!

Now write something on each skill and explain why that color or season manifests itself in that method tongue.gif
