Holy Crap, I agree with Narsrim for once!

This is the exact reason I gave up on the Glomdoring a long time ago, when I didn't have the patience to muscle my way into position for anything. I was just chatting with KidHendrix about this, and how back when this crazy world began, I was running around the Glomdoring studying up on the quests for the Serenwilde. I think 3 of the first 25 posts on their board are from me when I tried to stop Visaeris at the time from completing them. I kept getting cool messages from Auseklis about being his informant on the forest, and to keep up the Guardianship of the Glomdoring by preventing it from spreading. At that time it was Visaeris doing the quests, and me telling people how to stop the quests. Other people, like Gregori and such, were involved also which was really a cool thing altogether.

Then the idea of the commune came along...enter everyone else.

Still ran my butt around that forest a lot, but it go so pointless with everyone jockeying for position that I just gave up. I know quite a few "great" people who were involved with that forest, (no not including me in the great pile), and they ended up leaving over all the people trying to just get power.

When this commune returns, it can go one of two ways.

1 - They appoint the people we all fear them appointing. Commune will fail miserably and Narsrim/Tuek will have a new bashing ground.

2. They appoint decent folks who are around and the commune flourishes in a few years providing a cool anti-seren thing.

I'm hoping for 2, but I see the grounds being laid for number 1.

There are some people I hope aren't overlooked. Gems. I hope that they do well in Glomdoring and have a hand in its success because Glomdoring will be the better for it.

I don't post often but I felt I should post now regarding my stance on Glomdoring. Most people say Gwynevere is too snuggly, but as Lyth is her husband and has most time to interact with her and see her in action. Lyth was the TM of Goldleaf and I could see a good leader in her, so I started to show her the ropes so I could step down. She has been a good leader for them and I would know she is not snuggly all the time. Believe me on that, but we've talked about it a bit and I doubt she could deal with the constant pressure of being something WAY too important like that. I see Lyth as being somewhere up there but not too important, I wouldn't want some positon like Commune Leader OR G.A. those positions just scare me. Hmm anyway other then that I really could care less who is leader and who is not or even if I get a position. I'll be happy to be like Yeah, I was one of the original members of the Night Coven. Hmm, so that leaves a few people like Vis and Erion, They seem to butt heads alot IG over what? Leadership? I haven't a clue yet. Maybe just because I'm dumb. But Vis is too untrustworthy for a position I think, and as Viravain has said IG also its HER forest and she'll do what she wants with it. So I doubt its going to be a vote but more like an appointment, if Glom even does have leadership.

If we get Tuek and Narsrim in Glomdoring.... Muahahahaha

I think a lot of the problem is that people just assume way too much. For all we know this may be a different kind of beast altogether. If people put forth half the effort towards accomplishing the tasks at hand as they do in trying to place themselves in a position to gain power, this thing would've likely moved along a lot swifter and with a lot fewer bumps along the way. There are a -lot- of wonderful people involved in Glomdoring and ALL of them have assets that would make them good in a leadership position. Even the "snuggly" ones could serve well as any of you who have ever had to help guide a completely new novice in the world would know, sometimes it takes a little gentler push to get them started rather than trying to bite off their heads and swallow it whole. Worry about leadership when we have something to lead.

Yuniko would be too snuggly? She's erm...not? Except with Elaria and Munsia around she kids around like that. Wtf Silv, you don't know Yuniko obviously. I don't care about a position as of yet. I just don't want people that don't deserve it getting it.

I may sound rude but sorry, spending more than 4 hours at a time working on something and being told my character is one way so she doesn't deserve anything when she's not really peeves me

You know, from the way you all act around eachother in game and in the forums, if any of you actually get leadership positions i think Glom will fight more within itself then actually fight with Serenwilde, sorta like Mag and the Geomancers. Ya'll just need to sit back, relax and poison the rest of the competition!

Yuniko isn't snuggly, in my mind anyway, and even if she snuggles -people- she won't be all tree-huggy and nature-loverish. And the same thing with positions here... sure I'd -like- one, but I'm fine if people who deserve it get it.

I have to disagree Tenq, I think people will actually work with it. I mean, some won't support what went on and willpout the living hell around but it wont change and eventually they will learn to deal. But, as of recently we've worked pretty well together so far.

Yep, Yuniko's definitely not snuggly... anyone that's done something that makes Raez contemplate turning them into a gibbering ball of putrid drool can't be snuggly. It's okay though, she came back to her senses.
