You do not bleed my friend.
smoke 77398
raze Narsrim left hand
raze Narsrim right hand

You take a long drag off your pipe.

You detect nothing here by that name.

You detect nothing here by that name.

At the top of a roaring waterfall.
The wide river approaches the edge of the cliff here, falling over rapidly. The
sounds of the water landing below warn of the danger below, making the exits on
either bank of the river seem inviting. Lunatic Narsrim D'cente, Clangorian
Champion is here, shrouded. He wields an athame dagger in his left hand.
You see exits leading north, east, west, northwest, and down.
3621h, 4024m, 10p, 19644en elrxkdb-
You feel your will manipulated by a pooka.
You call upon your physical training and transmute your mana into pure health.

Narsrim's aura of weapons rebounding disappears.
Narsrim raises his arms and dances around you, spinning faster and faster. With
each pass around you, he shines with a silver light and your thoughts become
cloudier and cloudier.

You may drink another health, mana, or bromide potion.

And people complain about warrior's damage. tongue.gif

Malicia2005-04-22 07:01:53
Transmute should -not- be forceable. Neither should any ability that costs a lot of power/mana. Stagform for one. Don't forget about forced vitae drinking.
Yiaxu2005-04-22 07:04:28
Transmute is pretty useless, yeah. Especially if you have surge. But you can't transmute off balance or eq, so one way to prevent that is just stay off one arm or the other at all times.
Daganev2005-04-22 07:16:39
when the person isn't in the room, its hard to keep one arm off balance tongue.gif

I hate that such things can be forceable, but if they weren't the pooka would be worthless for fighting.
Unknown2005-04-22 08:23:46
Well, first he has to be in the room, then leave the room wait for you to regain, then run back in and force. If you see someone suddenly not there (and you know they are going to return, in the case of FFA's), just shield. Being off equilibrium stops you from doing any potentially threatening action.
Icarus2005-04-22 08:39:29
It's not easy to pull off. But as seen in the log, when it is pulled off it is almost instant toad.

The point is, I dont ever use Transmute. Does anyone? So having it is actually a disadvantage. crying.gif
Daganev2005-04-22 08:41:20
I use transmute to nullify putrefaction while bashing
Drago2005-04-22 08:59:56
Oh, I was going to say "Why do that when mercy enchant+tainted land easily covered it."

Then I remembered you aren't Viscanti.
Ceres2005-04-22 11:15:06
Daganev is a silly-billy.
Shiri2005-04-22 18:59:47
Pooka wouldn't be worthless for fighting if it couldn't mess up power skills like that. Tuek uses it pretty well with sleephexes, and it's good for emptying vials (ow) and stuff too. And...other things. But not only power skills, yeah.
Gwylifar2005-04-22 20:38:12
I do use transmute from time to time, but usually only in hunting.

I was told transmute couldn't be forced already. If it can, I'd suggest that's a bug. If it's supposed to be like this, I agree -- give us a way to trade this skill in. Last thing we need is a skill that's more useful for our foes than us.
Narsrim2005-04-22 20:48:17
Lets all remember that my pooka dies in one combo. Even in the arena when it cannot die, killing it strips its lock and I have to reset it and wait for the cycle to hit, leave the room, enter the room, catch the unlucky target on balance (I mean if Icarus just sat when I wasn't in the room, stood, attacked as soon as it failed... no problem)... it isn't as easy as you people are making it out to be

No, let's not, because it doesn't.
Silvanus2005-04-22 20:49:42
Or, you could make an alias to when someone forces you to transmute, just poke yourself tongue.gif

No, your pooka does not die in one combo.
105027

I'm sorry. Pooka dies in one knight who does decent damage: Daevos, Murphy, and Icarus. This doesn't include you of course.

You're saying that knights can't do decent damage without artifacts.

Actually, I'm saying you don't do decent damage specifically. Murphy did far more than you prior to his arties (we spar all the time).

Not to be rude Ceres but you were 100x better as an Aquamancer. It is a shame you went Paladin. You were made to be a Mage.

Then no complaing when it gets rough!
Ceres2005-04-22 20:57:13
Well, I should be able to kill some people, maybe.

Not having spent 700 credits on artifacts shouldn't entirely exclude me from being a member of the "I can actually do damage" club.

Murphy would do decent damage, being a viscanti/dracnari with lich's strength bonus.
