Well, I should be able to kill some people, maybe.
Not having spent 700 credits on artifacts shouldn't entirely exclude me from being a member of the "I can actually do damage" club.
Murphy would do decent damage, being a viscanti/dracnari with lich's strength bonus.

And you do decent damage after getting Inquistion off
Ceres2005-04-22 20:59:30
I don't, and I don't get Inquisition off.

Aww. You should practice more often.

Who do I fight?
Mags, who ghost and tank 14 Kethers before moving and still don't die.
Serenwilders (occasionally) who flow or spores out.

Or, you could make an alias to when someone forces you to transmute, just poke yourself

Force commands don't actually come from you, in that they ignore any aliases you may have set up. I remember all the Sentinels used to alias over Inferno, but when we tested it, it still went through.

Well, you can stop flow/spores easy. As for ghost, I've never seen anyone tank 14 kethers.
Ceres2005-04-22 21:09:17
You can't stop them easily, and I have.
Terenas2005-04-22 21:31:56
Back on topic- Transmute shouldn't be forceable!
Off topic- Knights do pitiful damage without elemental runes. Malicia does 250 to 300 damage to me per swing with her 180 and 170 damage broadswords, 18 strength, and champion helm.

You do pitiful damage to knights.

Name one hard hitting knight that doesn't have elemental runes?
Sylphas2005-04-22 21:38:36
Ceres beat me easily. Course, my rebounding was wonky, but it still hurts plenty.
Shiri2005-04-22 22:19:29
Yeah, knight damage is pathetic against other knights, but not us soft targets.

Doesn't work, I tried it. Force doesn't honor aliases.
Gwylifar2005-04-22 23:14:31
So, wait.... there is one defense against pooka, and it's called "be Murphy". Got it. Which skill do I have to train for that?
Aside: I sent my envoy a suggestion for a skill to be added at Fabled Discipline: Steel Will. Costs 250 mana and a short-medium equilibrium loss to raise a defense. Force strips the defense instead of taking effect. Pooka is still useful in a fight because no one can spare the mana or the equilibrium, let alone both, to keep raising it every time the pooka gets a lock -- and if they do, they'll be a toad soon. But it adds a possibility of a counter, which pooka is almost alone in having none whatsoever (apart from "be Murphy"). And works like most other defs (and probably thus easy to code).
Please commence tearing that apart.

Shiri2005-04-22 23:15:31
Yeah, at least you get a warning that way.
Shorlen2005-04-23 21:30:50
For that to be fair, I'd say Possession would also have to be changed, as it is like a Pooka, only absurdly powerful, if one can get it off.
Shiri2005-04-23 21:38:11
Wouldn't work. Force of Will (I keep coming back to that name) would be well worth putting up everyone time if it stopped a 10p skill.
Archthron2005-04-24 00:27:43
Unless it cost power itself...
Shiri2005-04-24 00:32:24
Still wouldn't work.
Asarnil2005-04-24 00:35:02
Archthron I would pay 10p to not be forceable. The advantage it gives your opponent is just to retarded to mention again in a combat situation.
