I bought me a set to take home, it's going to be heck getting them through customs... each one is something like 15-20 lbs... I am so happy! Can't wait to strap them on and work on my Emporer's Long Fist...
Vega didn't use Katars, those are Claws, from a a martial arts standpoint that is an entirly different style of differnce, aswell as about 5-10 pounds.
Claws can be grsped or bolted to the wrist, but normally use a 'grasp and strap' system, and can also be knocked from your hand.
Generally, Katars, are blades that you grasp, and hve a guard to cover your hand, whilst clamping or bolting onto your wrist, while also strapping to your arm, and sometimes, like the case of my hardcore ones, will have a 3rd clamp, which bolts down onto your elbow.
