The only problem I see is that _usually_ the specialized races aren't though to be fighting their unspecialized cousins.
In this case, you have a commune with several faelings, established for a long time in game time, who sudenly discover they have evil cousins in the rival comune (don't say you don't want anything to do with Serenwilde, your avatars want to kill serenwilde avatars and the other way round, even if the players are being nice at the moment) that will have to fight against.

If from the begining of the game viscantis had been living in Celest and there was a big population of viscantis there, and sudenly a specialization of viscanti apeared in Magnagora we would have the same problem.

On the other hand, I doubt that the coders tell you to go to Glomdoring if you want to be a viable faeling. Just trust them to keep tweaking the races until there's a balance.

The annoying thing about this argument is that it's not really an argument at all. One side is saying "this change is unfair, and now we have to deal with it", and the other side is saying "It's just a change, deal with it".

Yes, it's a change. Yes, the world changes. Yes, we have to deal with it. If you have nothing more to say than that, why are you posting?

Doesn't change that the change goes contrary to things that were clearly established in help files, and that people therefore built their RP around, in good faith. They may not have a right to expect the world to be changed again to make them feel better, but they have a right to complain that their efforts in good faith have been compromised. That is part of "dealing with it". If you don't understand that, read, oh, I don't know, how about almost every other thread on the whole bloody forum. You'll get the idea.

It obviously does not go contrary to what was written in the helpfiles, however people apper to have interpreted the original help files incorrectly. Or are intrepreting the current help files incorrectly.

I think that would be your 'wishful thinking' talking, Daganev.
