Glomdoring has faeling, Serenwilde has elfen, what is the problem? Rowena was/is elfen, so she must as well still have the capacity to conceive a progeny of faelings if she were bedded with a fae... which thanks to Rowena's corrupted being , she managed to spawn macabre faelings!
Edit: I think those who wanted faelings to be functional not only appealing for RP, should be glad that faelings were made functional... even if they achieved this elsewhere (Glomdoring). Or at least they have greater chances of doing something there, imo. All faelings to Glomdoring?

The level 3 balance for a Faeling Warrior with a sip advantage seems absurdly nice, especially with 13 constitution to boot. And if dexterity is ever fixed, I can't imagine what it would be like fighting against a Shadowlord Faeing that shieldstuns repeatedly.
It would be great if the level 3 balance could be tuned down to level 2 for specialized faelings so that non-specialized still have something to make them unique, but not create such imbalance with giving a warrior level 3 balance with no penalties besides low strength.

I have this oddest feeling I'm going to be very afraid of shadowlord faeling soon.
...they have more strength than furrikin and are faster and have more con! *sob*
They'll also be just as strong as aslaran. And have more CON. But have 4 points less int - but then again, they heal more effectively than aslarans. Oh, and recover balance even MORE quickly than aslarans.
Edit: I'm just being paranoid. I'm not calling for a nerf. For now, anyway. We'll have to see how this turns out.

I too feel the race in conjunction with the class will be strong, however, I don't think we need to resort to complaining until it's proven to be too good. It's good, but it might not be as insanely good as everyone thinks, give it a chance.

My complaint isnt that they will be over powered just that Elfen Lords are yet again pushed to being the worst specialised race. They used to be bottom of 3 now they are bottom of 4. Elfen Lord need fixing.

Wow theres not even ONE Shadowlord Faeling yet and already it's being screamed at for nerfing?! Jesus.. give it atleast a few weeks atleast before we declare MUD wide emergencies eh? What did you expect Glomdoring to be getting when Rowena bedded A Fae anyways? Another rudendent Elfen specialization where its same thing all over again? No... the entire theory behind these things is so each area has its OWN race, this is from Estarra herself, so why would we have same thing Serenwilde has, makes no sense. I called the Faeling thing from beginning and many disagreed with me, but I knew how Estarra planned this thing to do and Faeling was only option. I tink you all are looking at this poorly in fact that once Hallifax and Gaudigach join in, the majority of all races will have a specialisation associated with it, I believe that is the entire plan.

I think we complained about dreamweaving's blackout before it was used excessively, and we were right in that it made a mage's demesne even more absurdly powerful, hence why the gods eventually took a look at it and made changes. This could be the very same scenario.

Even though Serenwilde is the place where Fae first contacted mortals and the most infused with a shared history with the Fae, and constant relations, their children are far more likely to be found in a tainted forest where until recently NO fae whatsoever were allowed.
Those stupid fools who might have thought choosing the most Fae-related home for a Faeling character and who have long asked that they be given some chance against others are now spitefully shown they'll never get any change that helps them because Faelings are now suited perfectly to taint. Nyah.
I would have been perfectly happy with different beings arriving that has the exact same characteristics as the now specialized Faelings, but were clearly not the same race.

Holy wow, theres alot of bitter Faeling players out there, I guess Serenwilde needs two races as its own ontop of everything else they already got better than the rest of the world eh? Lets give Serenwilde Viscanti and Merian too perhaps, and design a Lobo and Furrikin one for them too. Come on people, I'll concede Elfen Lords could use some looking at but lets not sit around like children crying over spilt milk because YOUR race got chosen to be specialised and your not in the right place to get it. I played an Elfen in MAGNAGORA ... DREAMING of being able to be an Elfen Lord, so don't whine to me about not being able to grab specialisations to enhance yourself in your playing a certain race outside that city.
