I'm sure this is the worst possible way to do this, but I'm not going to be around much the next few days.
Anyways, Ebonguard have not names of anything.
I thought everyone might enjoy the idea that maybe they can think of some things.
All titles are open, from novices to GM GA and Champion...
run a muck.

What sort of culture does the Ebonguard have?
Shiri2005-04-23 13:00:50
I don't think it has one yet.
It's only just appeared, and has had no mention in the histories.
I suspect these guild rank names will be crafting a lot of it.

The ebonguard are warriors that protect the forest and the secrets of Night and Crow (i.e. the ties that bind)
Terror, and darkness and a revrence for the Ebonlong wyrm . aka. the pride of glomdoring.
I think thats enough public knoweldge to play with.

There is a very clear vission of the Ebonguard culture.
Daganev2005-04-23 13:04:41
oh, and the corny motto that will most likely change is
With Discipline, in Darkness, we Do.
With Discipline, in Darkness, we Do.

UrLord would imply some sort of affinity with death, which I don't think they have (right?)
Elryn2005-04-23 13:28:14
Eh, who knows anymore. I sure don't. I was just going by all the undead things in Glomdoring, though thats probably enough reason to make them anti-undead.
Unknown2005-04-23 13:29:51
Well considering they'll get the Crow and Night specializations for totems, dont see how death plays a part with it.
Elryn2005-04-23 13:34:43
How about The Grand Chieftain of the Glomdoring, the Keeper of the Lair of the Ebonglom? If its good enough for Serenwilde, it will be even better in Glomdoring.
Edit: And how did you get death out of 'urlord'? I liked the sound of it in The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, by Stephen Donaldson, but I haven't heard it used to describe any particular kind of death noble. Is it used in another context?

I like Night's Militant for some rank. Might work for a protector or security?

Depending on the deal with death/undeath in the commune, some of those might not work....
But awsome anyway.

See, it's all very well drawing from creepy Steven King short stories about the Corn God, but there's no Glomdoring reference to corn, so it's sort of missed.
Blade of the Black Tide
Gloomglaive
Legionnaire of the True Dark
Preserver of the Eclipse
Supplicant of the Wyrm
Hunter of the Moon
Tender of the Coiled Nightmare
In random order, I suppose. Can tack those in anywhere if you like.

Those are more Druidy, really... Ebonguard get to choose between Night and Crow so excessively Crow-ish ones don't really fit...
