I was doing some sparring in the arena with some warrior types and it seemed like every other censor.gif attack I was getting blacked out. I was wondering is there a herb or potion or something that a poor little aquamancer can use to stop the damn warriors from blacking me out constantly!

Someone let me know cause that was annoying as hell, pop out like two attacks and next thing you know blacked out, one attack, blacked out, one attack, dead!

the whole time sipping health like a mofo

Let me know...

Edit= I censored myself because I wanted you to think of the word that best fits the sentance...
Thorgal2005-04-23 14:09:58
Make sure you're affliction-less and sip allheale, which will cure the blackout.
Shiri2005-04-23 14:11:33
You're getting blackeye, so if you cure head wounds a lot and stance and parry head you should be okay. (To have any chance against a warrior you have to have stance and parry, so that's master and a half in combat.)

Blah there is another skill that I was told (as a novice) by my "elders" was useless to me and I kept insisting I thought I should learn it, now that I'm creditless it appears I need to learn this skill...

Damn damn damn..

And does anyone know a alchemist who is online a good amount who can actually make allheale and vitae? Cause I've been looking for days and can't find anyone..

Which skill was it? If it was something like insomnia you probably did need it.

I've got dreamweaving control so insomnia is pretty useless to me, but I was talking about the combat skill tree, I was told to not bother with it as I wouldn't need it...

Insomnia isn't useless. If you fight against a Moondancer, you get nailed by pooka sleep if you don't have it. (If you DO have it the pooka won't even strip insomnia, you see.)

But yeah, okay. Darn, I deleted my post afterwards because I thought I read yours wrong, heh.
Alger2005-04-24 05:28:54
combat skill set useless? heh

Who are these elders?

Shiri, if they're a half decent moondancer fighter, they'll try to make all their fae go off at once, like Tuek does. Just make sure the pixie hits before the pooka and you'll just about get them asleep everytime, unless they have really fast triggers, or you could just force them to smoke pipe, and hope it's coltsfoot tongue.gif
Shamarah2005-04-26 10:22:42
Insomnia is useless to anyone with dreamweaving control, because dreamweaving control is like insomnia that can't be stripped.

All Fae cannot go off at once. They seperate onto different tics. Just ask Tuek, in fact.

Shamarah: Thaemorn made that mistake, fighting me. If you don't put up insomnia, you'll be forced to sleep by a pooka, and (when I can get a damn Cosmic enchanter) have your kafe stripped, because macros go faster than triggers do, generally.
Shamarah2005-04-26 20:43:37
Triggers don't matter, Shiri. Control does not get stripped.

Drawing back on his tiny bow, a pixie shoots an arrow straight at you.
You remain in control of your mind and do not let sleep overtake you.

(fighting... I don't use control again)

Control being stripped wasn't what I was talking about. If you want, send me or another Moondancer a tell, get them to come over and ORDER POOKA ATTACK SHAMARAH, ..., ORDER SHAMARAH SLEEP.

It will work.

And then they strip kafe with the sleep enchantment before you can trigger to wake. I'm 99% sure Control doesn't work like Kafe, because I had Thaemorn asleep (not dreamweaving, trying to wake up) for quite a while.
Ethelon2005-04-29 02:38:38
You can force someone to sleep if they have control up using Pooka or Dominate or even Stupidity in the rare case.

The pixie or any outside effects will not put a person with control to sleep.

Control does not act as Kafe, you still have to have the Kafe defence to wake instantly.

Also, in my testing with Slumber, it would never strip kafe for some reason while they slept, only the Cosmic (rituals?) sleep skill did, or the enchantment
Shiri2005-04-29 02:48:28
Yeah, pixie doesn't strip kafe either, despite Torak's claims *peer*

Thankfully sleep chant does. So does sleephex.
Torak2005-04-29 10:26:28
I said I didn't know, and I told you what to do get a sleep enchantment, whore aeon(not unusual tongue.gif) let the pixie sleep then then use the enchantment, lash, toad.
Shiri2005-04-29 18:28:51
If banshee wouldn't keep WAKING YOU UP that is. tongue.gif

(I got the sleep enchantment. ninja.gif)
Sylphas2005-04-29 18:35:11
ORDER BANSHEE PASSIVE. Voila, no waking them up. If that's really a problem Shiri, you need to learn to play an ent class. I always used to keep my wolf and fox passive, because they did barely any damage and it was more effective most times to delph axewhore then keep them attacking.
Shiri2005-04-29 18:53:45
You can't order banshee passive if you're off-eq from using the sleep enchantment, and I always forget to do it beforehand.

Hmm. I know. I'll put it in as part of the sleep macro. And hope I don't fight a Shadowdancer and it hit them.
Torak2005-04-29 19:10:03
Just use varibles to order your ents.
Shiri2005-04-29 19:36:25
I never worked out how JAVA variables work. If someone wants to tell me I'd be more than happy to try it. :/
