Angels don't die really fast, I think it takes Daevos around 10 swings to kill Amaru's angel.Â

That's because we get only one. I bet it's too weak even now. Criticals shouldn't work on summoned entourage.

stun, web enchantment, icewall enchantment...

Those are accessible to everyone. And the fact that if you're constantly shieldstunning or webbing someone, you're not actually hurting them in any way, unless you have passive ents or effects going, which Knights do not usually unless for Contagion or Heretic. All I have to say is I'll be willing to trade Dark Moon for Carcer so I could do something to hold people in.

Don't you also have some way to block one exit?
I'm not saying you're as good at keeping someone from escaping then guardians of course, but you have -something-, if not that effective.
You're warriors, you wouldn't be able to keep cosmic guardian in place logically. Then again, balance is more important.

Why do people want Ranged Combat? Ranged combat is bad, bad bad bad! Thrown Weapons maybe but not bows and arrows, it just gets repetitive, you get two groups, shielding, and trying to shoot the other! No Bows, and 'sides we already have the equivilants, Mages/Druids and staff up to 10 rooms away, straight line, just like bows, cept they never miss.

Well, several reasons really, but mainly just to provide another avenue for warriors to travel upon. You would not have to worry about groups just shooting each other as there are enough tanks that you would be shooting at someone, while the tanky folk run in and attack at the same time. The reason you have that in Achaea is due to one thing...totems. You have a large group of raiders sitting outside of a city shooting in, and the defenders sitting in a room with a totem and guards and shooting out. It would be stupid for either group to move on each other there, but most of our battles are in villages and don't revolve around massive piles of guards.
I'd just like to see some form of archery so warriors do have a ranged attack, even if it misses a lot. In case you do have an opponent that won't sit in the same room with you, then you can still do some damage while they run.

So basically, it'd do crap damage, miss quite a bit, do venoms the same as weapons yet you think people will use it... and you people say Blademaster is underpowered!

i think a quick fix would be to make the ignite enchant ranged like the actual spell for mages is. only makes sense

That'd be amusing. How about guild specific ones? We Paladins can have lances, Seren can have bows n' arrows, the Ur'Guard can have golf putters, and the Ebonguard can have tainted twigs.

ROFL at golf putters Egads you made me crack there
Ooohh... but seriously, I'd LOVE to see polearms as well as many others types of masteries. That would be very interesting indeed

I don't think any archetype but the mages are meant to have ranged abilities, warriors don't need archery. They're meant to be dreadnaughts fighting in the heat of battle, not shooting arrows from a safe hideout.
Typhus2005-05-10 13:12:07
Right, give archery to the up and coming Ranger archtype.
