I'll be early awaiting this time next year then! wink.gif

Good job though, really. Not sure whether it's going to turn out well, but that must've been a hell of a lot of effort anyways.

Indeed, I am thoroughly happy with the event, especially having gotten some sleep since my last postings. Personally, Lusternia has my soul, I went from 30+ alts on Imperian to 0 in about 2 days time... ninja.gif

Gaudiguch, but yeah, let 'em rest.
Asmoth2005-04-25 18:43:10
Really, some of you guys act as if there are people with hot pokers and whips standing behind the admins/gods/coders whatever, (I don't think there is).

Give em a break, they have real lives to deal with and I'm sure the majority of them are NOT paid for their actions so be a little patient.

And if you're not planning on being here till the other cities/communes come out, then tough.. tongue.gif

Patience is a virtue guys.

Edit= Removed the quote cause it was causing confusion.

So why did you quote, Estarra?

Um cause she said that there wasn't anything else coming out for a while, I was just reinforcing her point.

So why did you question me?

Reading it gave me the impression that you were countering her points since you quoted her. Was just confused. tongue.gif

AIYA! 1 YEAR! Oh well... you guys deserve the break! biggrin.gif (Ooo but don't know if I'll still be around by that time to see it happen >.<)

Yes, no new cities/communes for quite some time now (like a year at least). We actually pushed the Glomdoring Project forward way ahead of schedule based in large part because of player comments and desires... blah blah (go look at the rest if you wanna know!)

Its cool that its out but... it shows it was 'rushed' from a designer view *shrug* still nice to have it though. yay for more damn alchemists!

GUADIGUCH!!!!!! But then I think all of us Flame Guardians will wait the year to see it done right -.- *cuts into the front of the line of people waiting to help out* biggrin.gif

Anyone know how much a weekend in Las Vegas costs? we could book our immus a little time out biggrin.gif
Shiri2005-04-26 17:21:31
Hallifax, surprisingly (BUT CORRECTLY!) is more looked-forward to than Gaudiguch. Good stuff!
Unknown2005-04-26 17:50:24
Gaudiguch all the way
Unknown2005-04-26 20:38:10
I personally think that Lusternia at this point has enough cities/communes that have a high or full focus on conflict and/or combat, which largely results in the constant raids that seem to make up the essence of each day in lusternia. I would think that it is most likely time to add a city whose main focus is scholarship, or at least diplomacy, rather then yet another city armed to the teeth ready to join the fray of raids and battles. From this point of view I would say that right now the realm as a whole will profit most from adding Hallifax, but then, who can say what the realm will look in a year's time?
Unknown2005-04-26 20:41:46
You can't have Halifix without Gaudiguch.
Revan2005-04-26 20:42:09
Yay for diplomacy! Bring forth the long lost art!
Shiri2005-04-26 20:45:16
You don't know that, Shiro.

And I always thought Hallifax would be militaristic. The whole "organised, order-based" theme makes me think of perfectly arrayed Roman legions.

Only with thunderstaves and crystal golems instead of spears and shields. >_>

I sincerely doubt they will be sitting ducks, but the city is what you make of it, and unlike celest in the histories, the people from Hallifax barely seemed to know what they were doing in their attack on the plane of fire. (Unlike the Dracnari, who were throwing companies of wyvernriders at them like it was the end of the world) Also, what is known about Hallfax at this point doesn't really suggest them to be expansionists or militaristic, their city of architectural wonders and engineering miracles sounds more like a scholar's utopia then a militaristic Rome, bent on conquering the world.

*HATE POWERCUTS ranting.gif*

Almost forgot to post this since it got cut off.

Brief version: Aw, man, you spoilt my dream. I had this image of all these lucidian shock troopers with thunder-infused halberds and naginata in big phalanx type formations (which wouldn't work without the shields BUT WHATEVER) with aeromancers on li'l mobile clouds like Nimbus in the air above them and a load of crystal golems as cannon fodder.
BUT WHATEVER.

(And yay, my minstrel got attacked by a Shadowdancer. biggrin.gif)
