And this is why people need to learn how to cure before complaining about combat situations, bugs or skills, in general.

Besides, if you don't know how to code a system, it's your own laziness at work, most people that made their own system, started out not even knowing what an alias is, let alone a trigger or even a variable, without any coding knowledge. They wanted to become better, so they taught themselves how to use a client properly and automate their curing, giving them more time to focus on offense, and thus becoming a good fighter.

You're right, it is my laziness, I just resent the fact that a game revolves around who can spend more time learning some obscure language that will really have no use to me other than to sit back and not interact with the game as much.

I'm sorry to say but if this bothers you so much, I think you need to consider playing a non IRE mud as combat on these is incredibly complex not to mention that Lusternia is more geared towards group combat and as such systems are greatly needed to keep up. If anyone can handle and respond to the group spam I see manually, they are amazing.

I simply asked what was going on. I readily admit I am slow in following rapid text manually, and I missed the initial paralysis message. Thanks to Hajamin, the bug that gives the wrong message is being looked at. That's all I needed to know.

As far as using a system, Ethelon was terribly kind in providing his base MUSHclient system to work from... I've been dabbling with it, but found I wanted all the personalized aliases in ZMud I've grown used to during the panic of death-defying village influencing. Thus, in the log I was working from a -very- basic set of triggers in Zmud that I'd set up mostly for bashing.

I have started trying to duplicate a lot of Ethelon's process in Zmud, but I'm pretty awful at it, and I don't enjoy spending hours on something that realistically is only going to occasionally give me an extra second or two to escape. I don't attempt to retaliate if I am jumped, there isn't much point, and I can usually manually find a way to flee in time. As I said, I'm slowly working away at it, but I really find attacking my programming expertise is rather a soft target.

Couldn't you just learn how to make the aliases in MUSHClient? It'd be a lot easier than making all the triggers and system in zMUD.
