I was under the impression that the more triggers you have the slower your system.

Wouldn't it be better to stick the names in a database file and work it that way?

Since it'd be no problem at all to color names system-wise, I'm quite sure this kind of coloring is not done on purpose for strategical reasons and therefore I don't think we'll get it added to Lusternia. Same reason why enemies aren't identified by a honours entry like in other realms (Imperian?).

As you said, knowing instantly that random unknown newbie XY is part of your enemy nation would mean a huge difference for pretty much any conflict. As long as you need to figure out whether that person is someone to smite, it gives them at least a second to run.

Course, you can do like Amaru and me and most other people and just do your own coloring, which means heaps of triggers or slow stringlists, messy coloring, and outdated variables. I know I've attacked someone more than once on grounds of outdated information marking them Magnagoran *smirk*

I don't see why it can't be done internally. There is no one in Lusternia who wants to keep their city or commune secret, and it'd be impossible anyway really. If this was implemented it would just give us all orgasms and improve our player satisfaction. End of story.
