Bah, I hope being a Titan doesn't totally throw off PK and make it lame like Dragons in Achaea. Dragons were lame.

Aspects in Imperian however, were cool, since they didn't affect PK at all, just gave you some nifty abilities. The best feature of aspects simply was you didn't lose experience for dying as long as you held at least one monolith.
Marsu2005-04-26 10:44:49
I agree with Tuek. No lamely overpowered abilities please.

Now if only I screwed off my commune/city/friends from day one and spent all my time bashing leaving them all to fight and die protecting what I should be protecting too, must be fun.

Yea, I've felt the same at times. How nice it would be to give up all responsibility and just bash endlessly?
Kaervas2005-04-26 11:23:50
I think I do a pretty good job of balancing bashing and other stuff. I have to be one of the few high level people who actually does something besides bash. tongue.gif

It will be interesting when Titans become elligable to be Vernal gods...
Iridiel2005-04-26 11:29:55
Go for it then, I doubt I could spend 10 hours a day with the sole company of dieying goats, hitting the macro key now and again, now and again, now and again.
Even more, in astral, with the sole company of a few people as bashing oriented as you.
I feel making it to dragon so fast makes you miss a great part of the complexity and fun of lusternia, but each person has fun in a different way I suppose.
Marsu2005-04-26 11:42:56
I only bash on Astral these days if I need power and gold thats it. I care too much about my family and friends to leave them alone.

Dragons? Who said anything about Dragons? tongue.gif Yes i am picky, read the signiture! biggrin.gif

Titan(or level 100 for that matter) IS NOT a requirement for Vernal. Enough power in your Nexus to light NYC, Tokyo, LA, Las Vegas, and Hollywood for 100 years IS.
Iridiel2005-04-26 13:20:13
Also, managing to convince your entire city to spend that power on you going vernal is a requeriment, the difficulty of it making getting the needed power a mere nuisance.

Whats the power to electricity translation? tongue.gif

I have to agree, please don't make them as overpowered as Dragons in Achaea. The insane stats + resistances to every single types of damage + all those dragon abilities made them absurdly powerful. It was almost pointless for any non-dragons to go against a Dragon back on Achaea unless your class was overpowered or the Dragons had absolutely no idea how to fight.
Ashteru2005-04-26 19:10:54
Ash'll just sneak to the pool and absorb all that power. Then, he'll become *drumroll*
The Ashteru, the Joy of Celest.

The only problem with this is, you've alredy dangled the carrot.

Everyone who is high up there knows about Achaea dragons I'm sure, hell probably half of them were the Achaean dragons who are looking for a new game to dominate. With that in mind, I'd find it hard to make someone get all the way to Level 99, then they get a gimpy little titan. If you are willing to bust your rump to get that high, which while you can spawn more creatures here, you can also die a lot more with the lax PK rules on the upper planes, then you should get a decent reward at the end. Dragons were overpowered because it took eternity to get them in Achaea which has been open for years and only has 27-28 out of the thousands of players that have been there.

That being said, I'm very disturbed that we haven't even hit year 1 yet and we already will have titans.
Revan2005-04-26 19:20:31
I say if you go through all the trouble, torment and agony it takes to get to lvl 99-100, you should be as overpowered as you want. However, the concern is understandable if 30+ people get to that stage (see Achaea). But for now, let the people who work hard have their fun. *shug*
Thorgal2005-04-26 19:34:36
Titan better be at least as overpowered as dragon...why on earth would someone spend 150+ days bashing if he can't have any reward for it.
Sylphas2005-04-26 19:47:49
Yeah, you'll just love it if Tuek ever gets Titan, and can single handedly own Magnagora. *has flashbacks to Jinxsta beating on Mhaldor*
Revan2005-04-26 19:49:31
Tuek fights too much. If Tuek went into retirement, I can see him being a titan.
Amaru2005-04-26 19:49:40
Achaean Dragons were stupid. I think people in Lusternia get Titan more for the acclaim, fame and for the achievement of being #1, rather than Achaea's 'l0lzors lets get dragon so we can dragoncruse!11'
