Okay, I know this probably already came up before, but which warrior class is the best overall fighters? That means good def and good damage, assuming with good weapons and dracnari race. I intend to go into Blademaster, so what would be the best guild for it? Thanks to you if you give me good advice.
Shiri2005-04-25 23:59:20
1. Serenguard are the worst, Ur'Guard and Paladins it's a bit of a tossup.
2. Don't go blademaster. ...just don't go blademaster.
Athana2005-04-26 00:00:56
IMO...Ur'Guard! ohyeah.gif

but don't trust me I'm just a silly mage
Ethelon2005-04-26 00:14:20
Ur'Guard are best all around. In One-on-one PK, Paladins are a little better only because of Inquisition. Bladesmasters are good if you learn how to fight really well, but if you are a mediocre fighter go with Bonecrushing
Shamarah2005-04-26 00:16:52
Ur'Guard are the best probably.
Paladins are less tanky but they're still close because of Inquisition and Trueheal (which can be used by bonecrushers to pull off an equivalent of haymaker).
Serenguard are the worst.
Galion2005-04-26 00:43:57
What does Inquisition do and what does Trueheal do? Also what is Haymaker? Why is bonecrusher better for those who can't fight as well?

Oh yeah, does anyone who how Ebonguards are?
Shiri2005-04-26 00:46:59
Inquisition strips all defs after a bit of preparation (the preparation gives mental afflictions too, it's nasty.)
Trueheal does a tonne, gives you max health and then some, max mana and then some, can be done at any time, cures all afflictions, gives an unbreakable shield for a bit.
Haymaker does 4 hits in a row, randomly, not that great.
Bonecrusher is better because it does better afflictions, like blackout and stun.

Ebonguards, no one's really sure yet. You gotta wait till Crow comes out to see.
Silvanus2005-04-26 00:56:24
From what I can tell by what I know of the Night skillset, Ebonguard will be bad warriors if they take the Night totem, dunno about Crow totem yet.
Shiri2005-04-26 00:57:00
Yeah, just like Moon, Night is better for Wiccans than Warriors by the looks of it. (Case in point, retardation.)
Galion2005-04-26 01:03:41
Main problem.
Point: Enemied to New Celest, can't join the Paladins. I guess I will go for whichever warrior archetype that is bloodiest.

Point: I think I will try out Ebonguards first and if they really don't fit, then I will have to find a way of getting out.

Point: Not only enemied to New Celest, also enemied to Serenwilde, and the Celestines (for killing one of their people in a FFA, I mean, WTF?).

Anyone have advice on how to overcome the problems?
Silvanus2005-04-26 01:04:37
Why don't we elaborate on the 3rd point and all say, What the F(ooga) is going on?
Vesar2005-04-26 01:38:55
Yea, that's BS. Did you do anything else?
Galion2005-04-26 12:21:52
For getting enemied to Celestines, all I did was to kill one of their precious novices in one of the FFAs, I logged out, when I logged back, I was enemied.

For New Celest, it was entirely my fault, I raided and killed two people.

For Serenwilde, I killed a centaur colt, and they killed me, then enemied me.

I can understand the last two, but the first one?
Marsu2005-04-26 13:02:19
Celestines guild policy states that enemies of New Celest are also enemies of the Celestines Guild.

Case closed.
Malicia2005-04-26 13:35:01
Looks like you don't have many options there, buddy. Go Mag.

I have always found this kind of policy silly. I mean, what's the point? If you make one enemy list a copy of another, you just give up that enemy list having any meaning. Unless guild enemy status has some mechanical consequence I don't know about, I don't see a point.

I try to maintain it so that to become a Serenguard enemy you have to do something specifically against the Serenguard guild itself, not just against the commune, just so it still means something. But other Serenguard are a bit more trigger-happy with the enemy status so a lot of it is just a meaningless reflection of an already-existing enemy list.
Murphy2005-04-26 13:56:04
come magnagora and seek out murphy for a mentor, he is really good to his proteges
Malicia2005-04-26 13:58:36
Hey, I treat my proteges like royalty. You could always go Serenguard. smile.gif

Edit- Kidding. Colt killer!
Unknown2005-04-27 10:09:53
When I tested the game out I played a Paladin Dwarf and did pretty good in Newton I was able to kill four finks at level one before they got me! Some warrior, huh? doh.gif Just remember that the combat isn't the main focus of the game, and it doesn't work to well as a hack 'n' slash.

Oh don't go to Maganora(Is that right?) their nasty Gnome killing, backstabing nasties! I met one of their novices in Newton and called him a Gnome killer, smile.gif and then I plopped myself down for a nice nap and next thing I know he's trying to to stab me! I just stood there and laughed. tongue.gif

Sorry didn't mean to hijack.

BTW why are there two angry face smileys?

EDITED far speelin propelms and tapooseys. rolleyes.gif

Haha, you aren't the first one to ask that about the smilies. There are very slight differences if you look real close. happy.gif
