Yeah heh, Amaru used it first for Soulless.
Revan2005-04-26 19:56:39
If only my staff could cause blackout... That would be awesome.

Uh, Mages have blackout..
Shiri2005-04-26 20:10:08
EDIT: Wait, ignore me.

I forgot the waning message was the same whether it stripped qs or not. :/

Dreamweavers do. Champions with runes do not.

Yeah, but you can -still- get it. I can only imagine what chasm + blackout would do, it'll be even cheaper than blackout + soulless. tongue.gif
Revan2005-04-26 20:24:26
It would be the exact same thing as blackout + soulless
Nayl2005-04-26 20:33:39
No.
Chasm is faster.
And chasm means demesne.
Passive affects of ++, instead of + from demon/angel

Been hit by blackout + chasm twice and its annoying as hell plus the demesne stuns often enough for tumble to rarely work.
Revan2005-04-26 20:43:56
People actually don't seem to have trouble tumbling out of a chasm in my demesne for some reason... I can't frikkin explain it. And I'm not even getting lusted.
Shiri2005-04-26 20:47:25
Bad timing maybe?

If you use really complicated reflexes I'm sure it's possible to get the breaklegs and stun to happen at about the same time, then the infused paralysis, or something. And then you chasm like, two seconds before that happens. You know, that sort of thing.
Marsu2005-04-26 20:48:58
You don't have blackout for a start and you probably time it wrong. I think Kaervas tested it so that stun hits just right because it seems to hit at the same time, every time tongue.gif

Which is just before you try to tumble. If not then he's just a lucky son of a censor.gif
Revan2005-04-26 20:48:58
I'm thinking of trying a chasm right before lodestone hits. Might work, might not. I'll have to see when I get home.

Use duststorms and move around more.

Duststorm could be a very viable solution actually. I always thought rubble would simply negate its effects. As for moving around more... a tad difficult considering rubble affects me as well, but hey, might as well give it a shot.
Amaru2005-04-26 21:01:46
Well, you can't tumble if you don't know which way to go.
Terenas2005-04-26 21:01:49
Duststorm + illusion hide exits + stonewalls + lodestone + blackout + passing out from hunger. It'll take skills to suck fighting as a Geomancer. tongue.gif
Revan2005-04-26 21:03:56
Rubble shows exits, illusioned away or not, as do stonewalls. . But then again... who's gonna look at that when piles of text are scrolling past *ponder*

All easily defeated by good old quickly check every direction then choose a possible to tumble towards. Done it before to Revan, if he remembers.
