Hey everyone, recently i've been doing a little music production on the side with various programs, working off the visuals I see in my head when I play lusternia. I will be uploading alot of mp3s over time to this geocities site but right now here are a couple unfinished pieces. Please comment on the quality, I havent been doing this very long, and if you have a link to anything you've done please share.

Got an error on the first one there. :/

Links still don't work for me.

That was fast..
The data transfer.. thingy.. needs a rest. Stupid Geocities being mean.
Edit: Someone able to host it for Fain?

I can host stuff for ya if you want Fain. Unlimited bandwidth(practically speaking) and fast too. Shoot me an AIM message(JerleMin) and we can get you set up
Fain2005-04-27 03:24:21
Sounds good

Okay, thanks to Vis' generous hosting contribution, I now have a place to upload my lusternia themed music and works in progress. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Nice! I wish I could make something like this.. what are you using anyway? *wants to tinker around..*
A Lusternia cd or track listing wouldn't be too far off. It would be neat to have some sort of interface where it'd play a certain track depending where you were in-game (Hehe. A cute highway tune for pilgrim snatching, maybe a fight music starting when you declare someone... individual village music).

Mostly I make my music using Fruityloops Pro 5 and loads and loads and loads of soundfonts, occasionally I will also use reason. Hmm.. sell a cd eh... *sees $$$$*

I used to toy with Reason, but it eats RAM like a bit..
But you inspire me. Maybe I'll tinker around sometime and download a few programs.
But yeah, I bet people would enjoy a CD depending on the size. For something like this I'd make it a two disc set and knowing you guys at Lusternia you can get character quotes/images/etc for the inside of the cover and backsheet.
Or divide the CD sets by moods/affiliation (Serenwilde/Glomdoring/etc) with bonus Order tracks.
You can do it. Don't let Estarra know though.. take it all and run!

-cough- I so thought you said Raezon there..
Anyway! You really should make a CD, or something of the sort, you'd be really good at making the album cover too! I see a Photoshoppery of, say, past Artisinal winners who want more fame.

I like them, but I want some longer ones that take a few more creative leaps, not just basically the same thing the whole way through.
Come on, push your limits .

OOoh, I do like the music very much.
Erion2005-04-27 14:23:58

Erion2005-04-27 14:27:36
Erm, yea. Teh rawkzorz. Both of them.

Whoah whoah whoah.
First one's awesome.
*waits for second one to finish downloading*
Second one: Also awesome, except now it's bugging me that I can't work out what that instrument is. If it's an instrument at all. But it's cool.

I like the Lusternian one, that's kinda nice. Personally, I think it ends too quickly, though it certainly has plenty of potential. I like how it builds up, and with a few other things it'd be grand.
Viravain's one, I expected that to represent the change of Her from Her first form, through the Kethuru event, and to come out as She is now. Perhaps you could do Her passage through the event? I'd find that one really interesting to listen to, because I imagine it would have some very interesting climaxes, and melodies.
Finally, I think you should do one in honour to Lady Isune.
Those are already very good, and certainly have the potential to be excellent.

Thanks for the praise everyone, I will go back and try to work on them more. Also I started a very cool tribal tune entitled "Ur'guard" with alot of percussion.. it sounds great. Maybe ill upload a teaser in the near future.

I love the Lusternia piece, really good blend of sounds. Especially the running harp (is it a harp? sounds closest to it) in the background.
The Viravain piece is very cool, although as a suggestion the tic-tocks that start it out could be quieter through the rest of it?
Looking forward to hearing more.
