I saw this post in imperian and it made me very jealous.
I just finished adding a new feature that I think you will all enjoy.
You will now be able to look at the items that someone else has
worn/wielded. The syntax is as follows:
LOOK - or LOOK AT
For example: LOOK DANAGLAS ROBES
If someone has more than one of the same thing (like 10 rings):
LOOK -
or LOOK AT -
For example: LOOK DANAGLAS RING 2, LOOK AT DANAGLAS RING 3
This should only work for things that you can see when you look at the
person (i.e. you won't be able to see their underwear unless they are
walking around with it plainly visible, nor will you be able to see
things in inventories).
So enjoy showing off your style (or lack thereof)!

We do not steal ideas at Lusternia, we just happen to come up with ideas that far exceed those that came before.

Mmm
Flagbearer Aurun Vuh'uni, Eternal Wanderer is here. He wields a gleaming scimitar in each hand.
l aurun
He is blahblah. He is wearing durable black combat pants, a
pocketbelt, a silk pack embroidered with swans, a black cloak lined with jaguar
fur, a leather falconry glove, black leather combat boots, a masculine, ivory
hued shirt, a suit of polished field plate armour, and a beaded lion's hide
satchel. He wields a gleaming scimitar in each hand.
l aurun scimitar
Its hilt is wrapped in bright red cloth, with a bit draping off, and its
crosspiece has a serpentine curve to it. The blade itself curves slightly back
and the inside curve is not edged.
l aurun pants
Thick cotton cloth has been tailored to form these baggy black combat
pants. The legs of the pants billow out slightly allowing for the
greatest of comfort when worn. Thick black cotton cords have been strung
through the waist and cuffs, which allows for the owner to adjust them
to any fit. There are spacious pockets at the front of the waist and one
on each side of the knees, allowing for a great number of items to be
stored within.
l aurun satchel
A pelt of lion's hide has been worked with natural ingredients to
produce a supple, smooth softness to procure an artfully designed, yet
practical satchel for storage. The pouch is deep and wide, allowing the
user to store essential items, although there is a flap that folds over
and protects the items within. The flap is pliable and the clasp is made
of the fang of a lion and a simple flick of the fingers can seal it
closed or flip it open. The satchel has been treated with organic
formulas that make it sturdy and waterproof. Dangling decoratively from
the bottom of the satchel are decorative glass beads of shimmering
turquoise, inky black and snow-white. Entwined within the beads are
claws of a lion that have been interwoven innovatively to allow a soft
rattle of the beads and claws to chime together harmoniously.

I like it a lot - it's always bothered me that craftsmen put so much work into their designs, and the only people that really see them are those that wear them. What does it matter if you coordinate every object you own, if nobody can tell?

I like it!

Yeah, I really like the idea.
And heck, if we never took ideas from other IRE games, well... We'd never have, oh... the public news, weapons, score and stat... Hehe

As said before, it'd be great if people besides the wearers could see clothing and weapons.
Vix2005-07-19 18:47:13
Very agreed. Of course, make it so that only that stuff that shows up could be looked at so people won't be peering at panties and such.
