The best mead I ever had I believe was called Bunratti from Ireland. Anyone know an easy way to get ahold of some?

Try making friends with your local liquor store owner. Most of them are always looking for new things to stock.

If it ain't beer, it ain't worth drinking.

Although I will be known to down a bottle of tequila when I am feeling like a serious hangover.

voted for mixed drinks. I'm a fan of pina coladas, screwdrivers.. things like that.

Definatly had to go for hard liquor. There is nothing like downing shots of chilled Goldschlager. Well tequila shots are good too but Golds is my favorite

it's illegal here. I've had it before or at least it's what they said it was when I went to Ireland(I could be wrong about that being what they said. I can do a decent irish impersonation but these SOB's had my head reeling). Had 6 shots and woke up in my hotel room. What happened in between is still a mystery. Scary too because I can usually drink quite a bit before WTF occurs

Sounds about right.
Although, in Ireland, there's no wormwood tongue.gif
It's the hallucinogen
But 6 shots of 60%+ does that too you.

"The Crestmont"

Fill a highball glass with ice, add 2 healthy squeezes of fresh lime
juice, 4 dashes of Angostura bitters, and an ounce of Bombay Sapphire
gin. Fill with tonic water. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge, drink
with a straw.
I just invented it, and it's awesome. Worship me.

It already exists, its called a St Charles.

And the wormwood isnt that hallucenogenic, it was the Laudanum that really messed with the Victorians head. *grin* Absinthe in britain still has Wormwood infusions, they just arent allowed to distill it from wormword, but they can distill it with wormwood in it. A subtle but wholely less deadly difference. And its still the drink of the Divine. In fact in britain, if a pub/bar serves absinthe its only allowed to serve 2 shots to a person in a night. which is why you have your friends buy the other shots *grin*

Nice google searching wink.gif Yeah, I found that, but it's not an official drink by any stretch of the imagination (just like me, it was a single guy who invented the drink, and I used different bitters wink.gif). In reality, it's a Gin and Southampton.
