Isn't verbose... the long one? Since verbose does tend to mean "long/lots of words"...
Amaru2005-04-27 16:15:00
I always thought that too, but Tuek used it as the opposite so I assumed I was wrong. Verbose/brief no?
Shiri2005-04-27 16:15:02
Verbose is long. Amaru is confused. tongue.gif

And how is that bad roleplay? You do know... that verbose is the LONG description, that shows everything, right? Brief is the short one.

^--- Tuek said it's long, didn't he? Oi.
Unknown2005-04-27 16:19:56
Verbose is the long description in white font.

Brief is the yellow description at the top and any objects/players in the room.
Amaru2005-04-27 16:20:37
Oh crap.

*puts down vodka glass*

Alright. I was wrong.

I thought I saw Tuek saying verbose was the short one.

Sorry all.
Iridiel2005-04-27 16:38:56
Bad roleplay anyway if you need to be reading all the descriptions to be in atmosphere. And because I say so, and to save amaru from admiting he was wrong and scaring us all tongue.gif
Richter2005-04-27 17:36:01
Anyway...

I thought it was kind of odd that we had those there, especially since the treehouse-ish area of serenwilde cannot grow moonharts.

Guess it's been fixed. Next!
Unknown2005-04-27 19:21:07
I use brief room descriptions for walking and stuff, but when I'm standing still, I always use look instead of ql.
Amaru2005-04-27 20:06:20
It's one of those things you just feel strange about if you change it. Like config colour.
Shiri2005-04-27 20:07:59
Or JAVA -> zMUD.
Silvanus2005-04-27 20:21:55
Or, you know, staying on topic.
Shiri2005-04-27 20:23:20
Especially after the topic's been resolved already by a post from Estarra.
Silvanus2005-04-27 20:29:19
Well, brilliant moderator, then why don't you... you know... close it?
Shiri2005-04-27 20:43:04
'cause it doesn't need closing?
Silvanus2005-04-27 20:45:34
No need in closing a topic thats already been settled and has no other means of discussing aside from hijacks?

No wonder why I think you are a bad moderator.
Shiri2005-04-27 20:48:29
Because I don't agree with you, usually.

Now, if a topic descends into personal attacks, THEN it needs closing.
Unknown2005-04-28 03:17:48
Shiri, if the topic has a concrete answer then it would make sense to close it.. huh.gif

And why is that "Wepaw!" topic in Ideas?

*purposely derails topic*

Or you could, you know, just let people talk if they want to.
Unknown2005-04-28 03:28:06
About what? Why it was a bug despite the admin admitting it was a bug, moving the said totems, and thus answering the question that made this topic exist? tongue.gif

This kind of thing is why there are hijacks. One person says something because another question was brought up (Even though the topic is clearly complete) and then it echoes on and on.

Yes, I know I started this one, but it was to prove a point. ninja.gif

Edit: I guess what some people need is a bull censor.gif area where they can talk about nothing, but their post count doesn't go up. Unfortunately this isn't the place for that. doh.gif
