Who you gonna be voting for? And who would you hate to see get in? Etc etc.

Would vote Green but I'm a lil young.

Would hate to see the Tories in.

It's all about image these days.

Michael Howard is a vampire, Letwin looks like he's stuck in the 80s.

Charles Kennedy is short, fat and ginger.

Blair and his party are all neat, smart and smiley, with fake tans.

It's all over for the 'real alternative' and the old boys. Yay Labour.
Manjanaia2005-04-27 20:00:59
Michael Howard is the kinda person I would castrate if he entered my bedroom.
Amaru2005-04-27 20:04:57
Hey, that sentence involved

- Michael Howard
- Your bedroom
- Genitals

Also young, but probably Lib Dem. :/

It's rather sad that Conservative & Labour are the only ones going to win, so anything else is a wasted vote. People don't think in groups.

Lib dems.... good for some things. I'm very pro-Europe personally, which they are. I'd like to wave bye to the pound and take up the euro, but not until I've stopped playing IRE (so I can keep getting stupidly cheap creds).

I don't like the Lib Dems on things like scrapping government departments, purely state education and their damned 50% top band income tax.

I also think Kennedy needs to lose some weight and dye his hair.
Shiri2005-04-27 20:18:34
Bleh. I'm pro Europe, but not enough to want the Euro. I really don't like the idea of that.
Manjanaia2005-04-27 20:21:02
I reckon the euro would be quite bad for our economy. It would have a similar affect to that of Germany's, where everything costs twice as much.
Amaru2005-04-27 20:26:51
Look at this though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_count...P_%28nominal%29

GDP is basically how rich or wealthy countries are. If the EU were to integrate more, you could say au revoir to the US dominating the global economy. And if we were to integrate fully, upcoming China wouldn't be able to compete and neither would anyone else, even politically. The problems we face are cultural differences, trade barriers such as resistances to EU developments, and differing currencies... low birth rates (of white north Europeans) and huge levels of immigration (could or could not be seen as a problem).

But the potential is there.

Is why I'm pro-Europe (and anti-America, shh).

Imports would cost more (credits, Versace) but we'd see a huge boost in exports. It'd be bad for us in the short term, but in the long term would be good for business and therefore good for the economy, and us. We hope.
Shiri2005-04-27 20:32:37
Heh. My interests are primarily in the short term, that's where the problem's coming from I imagine.

I'm just drastically not in favour of the cultural readjustment thing.
Amaru2005-04-27 20:34:29
Well my family is originally from mainland Europe so I could be biased on that count.

Don't Feel bad Amaru, I'm American and I feel Anti-America..
I do, however, hate the Euro, since I collect foreign currency, and now all that Euopean currency I never got is gone...

But we know who takes the lions share of the economy don't we? How good do you think this will be for the average man?
Shiri2005-04-27 20:41:41
...damn, that was depressing. And kinda random. :/
Amaru2005-04-27 20:42:05
Forget the average man, I'm a selfish voter!

Edit Shiri: Bad pictures might give you nightmares or whatever, but every time you see that pretty blue and red flag you need to think about things like that. It really happens and I think when it happens in the name of freedom and democracy, it's as scary as the possessed doll or possessed mime (which are scary as censor.gif because they are something we usually think of as good, gone bad). I've had a few too many and I'm rambling.

EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~

Just as long as you remember, next time you sing GSTQ, we invented concentration camps.
