I should direct the feds to this thread. Damn British conspirators!Â
What's with that link, Amaru?! Democracy doesn't come easily. To hear some of the soldiers tell it, the people are grateful for the American involvement in removing Saddam from power. I have mixed feelings on the war. Just remember, not all Americans are patriotic. /hijack

Right, because people are really going to voice their complaints directly to an occupying soldier carrying an assault rifle who probably doesn't even speak their language.

slight hijackish.
I think America needs to stop playing in other peoples backyards and start worrying about their own. ::NOD ME:: To much we need to help them, them, them, oh and them, yeah can't forget them, maybe them, ohhhh almost forgot about them, them, and them. Send five dollars a day to save this child in wherever but arrest the five year old going through your garbage to eat a moldy sandwich.
Sorry I get annoyed a little.

I agree.
And Daganev, PMs usually stand for 2 terms, and parties switch every 3 to 6 terms.

You obviously have never been to the Middle east.
People have no problem voicing thier complaints.. especially mothers standing in windows with buckets of water.

Or other stuff that can go in buckets

Currently Magaret Thatcher is our longest serving PM at 11 years 1979-1990. (thats without a break Gladstone might be at more, but he served 4 seperate terms with various other prime ministers such as Benjamin Disraeli in between). Tony Blair is at 9 Years now, 1997 - ???? and this governments term will theoretically last untill at least 2009, so that would make him the longest serving (he is already the longest serving Labour PM)....unfortunately for him, his back benchers are already calling for his resignation. And there have been lots of stories even before this election that he originally cut a deal to step down and let Gordon Brown stand for party leader and therefore Prime Minister, and lots of Labour backbenchers are angry that he is gone back on this.

Though, it seems the pressure is getting to him as he is slowly retracting his wish to stay on for a full term.
