I notice the poll results have a nice little bell curve in the making, except it's centered 30-40 points about the average

The test was boring.. I didn't bother to finish it. ninja.gif

I've got numbers ranging from 132 in the UK test the nation one... through to 161 from tickle.com... which is either a different scale or set that high to make you feel good and buy some full IQ report thing they try to sell...

So, I'm going with the average which is about 142.

For thos quoting old test results they will almost certainly be wrong, your IQ is totally age dependent, which is why you get 3 year olds with IQs of 270. My lasy test was 5 months ago clocking in at 163. The best kind of IQ tests to take are what are called culturally neutral. They use no knowledge whatsoever, they are pure intuition and logical reasoning.

The page won't load for me. tongue.gif

I've gotten anywhere from 110 to 170 in IQ tests, though usually I sit around 140ish.

They're complete rubbish, based on what your current situation is. I'd never use an iq test as a basis for anything.

Edit: The best IQ tests are ones that have nothing to do with who you are/where you're from, and there aren't many of them.

I generally average out at about 140-141 on most iq tests... albeit above link isn't working for me, so no idea what I'd do on that one.

I'm a big fan of the iq test at thespark

The IQ test page seemed to freeze last night (when I was on question 42, and slightly tipsy) - I normally hit the 140-160 range.
Unknown2005-04-28 15:52:13
mines a very tight range, but its fluxuated since the first time I took an iq test in 2nd grade for GATE(gifted&talented education -hehe that means technically i was a "special" ed student at one point in time. no short bus though sad.gif lol) Both of my sibling incidentally fall within the same range as well -.- quarky!

186-192
Unknown2005-04-28 17:28:51
Yep, got 150 even on this.
Unknown2005-04-28 17:33:30
Depending on the test my scores range from 135 to 180 *shrug* put a nice middle of 141-150

IQ tests are the most dull thing ever. At school my teachers were always like OMFG DO THIS IQ TEST AND JOIN (Men/Meth-something, the 'society' for people with high IQs, snobs) and I was like, sure. After about four questions wttfbbq, forget this.

I hate maths.
Unknown2005-04-28 18:03:49
heh Mensa, and yeah they're borrrrriiinnnnggg
Amaru2005-04-28 18:22:29
I just don't see the point of enduring it/wasting my life doing something to 'prove' my superiority. That's what I get my degree for, come on.
Shiri2005-04-28 18:30:39
I dunno. I never wanted to prove my superiority (it's not like I have any biggrin.gif) but I always find IQ tests fun. Like logic puzzles and tsunami. It's just a fun mental exercise.

(Mensa is easier than it's cracked up to be though. Most people shouldn't have much trouble with it, really.)
Unknown2005-04-28 19:12:38
Oh man I love logic puzzles.
Shiri2005-04-28 19:27:15
Yeah! biggrin.gif Wish I had a few more of those magazines actually.
Unknown2005-04-28 19:37:50
Logic puzzles = fun - take a look at the last test on that site, some good ones on there.

They'll take me longer than 12 minutes, that's for sure, however.
