The one thing I honestly hate about this event. Hajamin was pushing us to find the ruins, then when we found them. we find out Magnagora has already set up a large force in there. This was a Magnagora event, and most likely will turn into a Magnagora only bashing ground
Shiri2005-04-30 04:17:32
Hardly. Astral didn't. And they can hardly keep it watched 24/7 unlike Spectre Isle, as well as the fact that higher level people are likely to be bashing there I believe.

There are alot of ways to get past Krangar.
Perhaps, but I doubt changing the catacombs to cosmic would negatively affect any of them.
I'm not forcefully pushing for a change, mind you, just curious whether it would work as well. Please don't dock my rolepoints!
Unknown2005-04-30 04:19:01
From what people have been telling me, it honestly isn't worth bashing there. Maybe the quest is worth it, but killing there for exp would be a waste of time for everyone, but those with the cold resistence
Erion2005-04-30 04:20:01
I'm told things there hit twice as hard as astral mobs. So we might be looking at an area equal to astral in strength? Who knows.
Silvanus2005-04-30 04:21:03
I conglutinated about 5 times, vitae'd twice, had 7 people following me, and gained 8%, by going through one level and somewhere near half the other level.
Yeah, its worth it.
Yeah, its worth it.
Unknown2005-04-30 04:22:43
Silvanus, you're level 60 something and i'm level 81. The difference alone could tell about the exp
Silvanus2005-04-30 04:24:54
Revan, Murphy, Alger, Drago, all high levels, following me.
Shiri2005-04-30 04:27:23
Doesn't affect it, Silvanus, it'd be the same whoever was following (unless they're a pre-L21, in which case experience gets divided screwily.)
Drago2005-04-30 04:28:32
I've gotten about 20% while following at level 61, its about Astral level strenght monsters.. I couldn't tank them alone in the groups they're in though, whereas I can tank 1 and occaisionally 2 of most astral mobs.
Just wait 'till I get some resistance stuff though, should make things a lot easier.

Revan2005-04-30 04:29:02
I didn't gain anything from bashing there, and we killed about 20+ monsters. I'm lvl 76 *shrug*

My hope is that now that there is an evil place in the world, Celestines and other members of the Light will have a place to destroy, while members of the urguard and other tainted organizations will have a place to protect.. a nice power struggle...

I dunno, just seems kinda sucky. But we'll deal. Thanks for the new area.

There's a difference between wanting to defend stuff and wanting a chance to kill stuff. Considering how many people have been discussing bashing the critters here, especially Magnagorans, I'd say that what the Ur'guard are doing is jumping on a chance to kill people who want to explore.

1) Not true.
2) The ur'Guard and Magnagora have the motivation to defend the former home of the ur'Guard as well as the Catacombs of the Dead.

Notice how Celest has all sorts of restrictions on who they can bash. This is because good has an inate motivation to defend good/innocent. What, exactly, are the restrictions on what Magnagorans can bash? Anything that's evil/tainted? Mag bashes Krokani all the time.
Drago2005-04-30 04:55:55
That's because the Krokani aren't a part of Magnagora, nor linked to Magnagora in any way.
Shallach is.

Silvanus2005-04-30 04:56:58
The Krokani also fought against the Taint.
On another subject, my props to whoever worked on the Catacombs, the place is not only huge, hard, but very hard and confusing, but I do believe I've figured out most of the first and second levels.
