I wonder if one of you could post descriptions for the Fae. I tried to get it off a Shadowdancer one, but it just says they're bound in shadows. I want to write a story for the bardic contest, and I would just like to have a look at the Fae to decide on what ones I want to put in the story.
While you're at it, if one of you decides to help me out, maybe you could go to the Wiki and add a Fae page? There's been a link to it for a long while, but on one's made the page yet.
So.. please help me out!

Look at the bolded part. Now, I was wondering is that going to be the permanent description of the shadow bound Fae? If it is, can we get it changed? We can provide the descriptions, just you implement. Because it just looks sad when I can compare the appearance of regular Fae and the shadow bound ones.

Could you not just use mostly the regular descriptions with a line added about how they are bound and enshrouded by shadows? The Fae don't actually change, I thought.

Go to Ethereal and look at them all?

I'm enemied to Serenwilde where all of them are. Is it so hard for people to be helpful? Bloody hell.

You should start swearing at them, Jalain, I heard that's a good way to get people to help you.

Faethorn has plenty of fae. I can't turn around without tripping over a pigwidgeon, or stumbling on a pooka. The flying and treebound ones would be harder to get, but it's doable. Good place to start, at least.
I'll see what I can gather from Moondancers standing around with fae, though.

Oh come on, it wouldn't take a lot of effort. :/ Here, I'll go find 'em, I was hoping someone would copypaste it so I wouldn't have to type-by-hand but nevermind. Gimme a sec.
Leprechaun: A leprechaun has a pot belly and a bristling red beard. Dressed in green tunic and pants, he wears a hat tilted jauntily on his head. With ruddy cheeks and twinkling eyes, he usually keeps his arms crossed as if afraid he may drop something. Indeed, every time he shuffles from foot to foot, something clinks from the confines of his clothing.
Brownie: Looking like a scruffy, tiny, brown man, a brownie is dressed in torn clothing of outlandish colours. He giggles incessantly and cannot stand still for longer then a couple of seconds. His hair is a shock of chestnut brown and his face is smooth and hairless.
Sylph: Looking like a diminutive teenage elfen girl, the sylph is slender with long pale hair and dressed in a gauzy white shift. Her eyes are a soft blue that seem to reflect the image of clouds. From her back sprouts a pair of long gossamer wings that sweep through air with powerful beats.
Dryad: This tree vaguely conforms to the shape of a woman, with a long slender trunk that rises up to sprout two long graceful branches and forms a hauntingly
beautiful face. A cascade of vines fall down like hair, covered in small oval
leaves. The bark is brown with swirls of tan, quite smooth and supple, and
small yellow flowers give off an earthy perfume.
Pigwidgeon:Probably the strangest of the fae, no one has actually ever seen the face or body of a pigwidgeon. The sleeves and pants legs of its voluminous clothing go well beyond its hands and feet, covering them with the frayed material. There is also an enormous floppy hat on the pigwidgeon's head that manages to always stay firmly ensconced no matter how outrageously the pigwidgeon moves. It is not even clear whether this odd fae is a biped or quadruped as it spends as much time on two legs as it does on four.
Sprite: A sprite is a tiny ghost-like figure with fine wings that glitter with a splendid opalescence. A halo of light surrounds the sprite's entire figure.
Long white hair is draped about her body covering her nakedness. As she looks
around, her sparkling eyes twinkle with merriment and mischief. Upon looking
closely at her little frame you can see the small pouch belted to her waist,
that is filled with a fine dust of some sort.
Pixie: No larger than a newborn kitten, the pixie looks like a doll-sized version of an elfen, except with gossamer wings that beat at an amazing speed. His large green eyes are filled with laughter and mischief, and his movements are quick and jerking. Dressed in a tunic of leaves and wielding a tiny wooden bow, the pixie is prone to suddenly somersault in the air and twirl about gaily.
Nymph: A wood nymph is clothed in leaves of various trees, linked together by vines and ivy. She is small and slender with skin that is as soft of rose petals and the colour of butter, and hair that tumbles down her back in a long fall of green, kept in place by a wreath of ivy.
Banshee: A banshee is the translucent form of an elfen woman. She is dressed in a black shroud that flaps around her in tatters. Her face is creased in sadness and her large eyes water uncontrollably. Low moans and wails are stifled in her throat as she floats several feet above the ground.
Willowisp: A willowisp is a ball of bright light that bobs in the air. If one listens very closely, the willowisp emits the soft tinkling sound of tiny silver bells. Even if the willowisp isn't focusing on you, there is a strange desire that grips the heart to follow the strange little fae.
A willowisp seems to be unafraid.
Pooka: The pooka is a strange looking creature indeed, with four little goat legs and small goat horns on the head of a pixie. The body of the pooka is that of a tiny horse, complete with a swishing tail. The pixie face grins mischievously and the body seems to alter in size and shape while one's attention is drawn away.

I never whined nor cried about hating all of Serenwilde. I always stated that I dislike you OOCly. I've stated that I dislike the way that the creators seemed to have thought those from Serenwilde were idiots because the quests there were so much easier than anywhere else.
As to the IC thing, yes Jalain hates what the Serenwilde has become ICly. But that is IC, and as this forum is OOC, it really shouldn't matter.
Thank you, Shiri. You're a life saver! I'll move those over to the Wiki, so that Narsrim doesn't have to hurt his brain trying to understand the difference between IC and OOC if they're asked for again.
Shiri2005-05-02 19:38:42
Incidentally, you could well have got the Fae descriptions for yourself.
I had a look around the Serenwilde but couldn't actually find any, which indicates to me they're all sitting in Faethorn currently. I had to summon all those. Nevermind, though.

They are? How odd. I was about to drop off to sleep when I wrote that, so I thought I'd just ask politely and hopefully I would be able to read them when I woke up, then start writing. Didn't seem to work out that way, though.
