Well, congratulations to Chade on 2nd cityleadership in one single game! Not bad at all.

And thanks to the admin for listening to the players on this and letting them take their own stance a bit (if this is what's happening.) I think most of us accept that it's very hard to run a city properly AND patron three guilds AND do all the rest of your Divine stuff, so...it's good that players are taking at least a little responsibility now.

So.. essentially.. Glomdoring is now officially forever in Mag's pocket? I can't see Chade giving his successor, Daevos, the finger and doing anything to harm Magnagora.

I think there could have been other choices than, someone who was inactive forever regardless of if that was his fault or not, made no real effort at all for Glomdoring when he was around, joined not long ago, and appeared to make no real political attempt to do anything.

On the other hand, it isn't Erion or Visaeris so that is a step up.

On the other hand, Chade was also pretty reasonable to Serenwilde back in the day.

Then again that was with Nikua.

Edit: Nothing against Chade, he's a good guy, but I never really got why everyone's so charmed with him.

Nikua bent over for Magnagora, of course Chade was reasonable.

I believe that rumour is that Chade was a good leader for Magnagora. So, either Glomdoring did manage to vote for Chade and take his background into account... or whoever chose him as leader did, imo. Personally, considering Serenwilde's current situation with Magnagora and our fated encounters with Glomdoring, I just hope that with Chade's leadership we don't end engaging in an endless Seren v. Glom conflict. If Chade was once able to be in good terms with Serenwilde once, even if it was thanks to Nikua, I hope he builds a not so turbulent relationship with Serenwilde this time.

Now the question is... will Magnagora's arena still be named after Chade....

Well, seeing as how Chade was immediately advanced out of novicehood upon joining, and then immediately given a cityfavour or two, one could only expect this to happen.

That's disheartening . I hate when the mechanics of the game are used without the roleplay they are meant to accomodate.

I'm probably one of the people least satisfied with the current state of Glom, but even I can admit that she is playing a role. Maybe not the one I'd like, but she has been staying true to her RP.. 'cept with Bau

Daganev we can only comment on what we are told and what we hear. If you have other information, share it, or stop criticizing people for using what they have available to form their opinions.

Yeah, you already tried the "smug-I-know-something-you-don't" line, work with something else. If you DO know something we don't, which I don't doubt, either tell us or don't say anything. :/

He doesn't. He just brings that out to make himself feel better about his argument when, in fact, there isn't one.

So far I havn't seen any comments that show you have any information other than your own percpetion.

To put it simply, Chade has not 'done nothing' nor did many of hte other people who people on these forums keep claiming didn't do anything. Not everyone is as loud and attention grabbing as everyone else.

Chade's done some stuff, but very little, and he's rarely around. He wasn't involved in bringing the commune back in any way, as far as I'm aware, and I spend way too much time online/know people who do.
