The only part of Serenwilde I like(d) is Malicia.

Also it allows Amaru to kill more people. *hum*

Couldn't be arsed with reading this thread.
I am pleased with the choice of Chade. I haven't seen him ass-kiss or be loud and he's a good leader. I kept saying we need a firm leadership, with clear orders, and I think we have this.
I do see Rhysus' point about it being a bit out of the blue, but I do think it is best for the Commune. While I OOCly would have appreciated an election, that would not have fitted in with the RP.
And look at what happened when a person favoured by Viravain got in. Look at Moralis. (I am noting that he is phasing his accent out, he is cleaning up his posts, and he does know a lot of stuff though)
Both OOC and IC, I wanted a firm leader who will give us clear orders and straighten out the Commune. I got it IMO. Just give us the guild positions now and we're golden.
EDIT: Though, I am hoping project 62 is scrapped. Maybe we shoulda just given the Shadow Council and the Ambassador CR6.

If anyone ever bothered to read my history they would know thatI was going to go to Glomdoring from the day I wrote my history.

And I'm a Flagg, for chrissake.
You all forgotten Guido already? He did make a 20-page OOC shout, remember?

The more I think about it, the more I'm disappointed that Chade was chosen. Not because I wanted the job(although I do), but because he doesn't deserve it. Certainly Viravain posted her IC reasons, but they were pretty flimsy, at best. Chade didn't do anything of note, besides starting a clan to help raise Glomdoring (and then disappearing again). He tends to go inactive randomly, and he's way too close to Magnagora.
I like Chade, I consider him a friend(I've known him a long time, probably 5ish years), but I don't think he deserves the spot in any way. And using a weak IC excuse as a reason to put him in charge isn't going to help our already pitiful lack of roleplay.. (aka leaders who use ":D" in tells and what have you).

The only reason Chade went inactive, if you bothered to do your research instead of spouting off like you normally do, is because of the whole China/Ire thing that went on. I mean seriously Visaeris, if you honestly think YOU deserve the spot, then you better stop smoking that pipe, cos its DEFINITELY got some illicit substances in it.
Revan2005-05-03 18:48:11
Nothing Chade could do against Socialist scum =/

I think I deserve it, but I don't mind that I didn't get it. As for his inactivity, I was under the impression the China thing was his big disappearance, not him disappearing for a week after starting a clan to raise Glom, and then showing up a few days after it opened. If that's a related incident, then I apologise... But my other points stand.
Asarnil2005-05-03 18:56:56
No they don't. The only reason you consider her reasons flimsy is because for some reason you think that running away from the game for months until the commune is about to open, is doing something pro-active and Marshall worthy. If you were in charge of Glom, Glom would turn into an even bigger punching bag than Celest. Why I hear you asking, well its because NOBODY LIKES YOU. On the annoying people we want to boot scale of things, you rank right above Erion - and no that isn't my opinion, thats your fellow commune members, who not only don't trust you, but are sick and tired of your constant .
In fact, I venture to suggest, that if you HAD been made Marshall, there would have been a sudden mass exodus of people BACK to the other three organisations just because they don't want to put up with yours and Erion's massive egos.

I don't think too many people dislike Visaeris enough to give up their pretty pretty new guildskills and go back to their old cities and communes, which many gave the middle finger to as they left. Plus, if he had been made leader he would have either taken it seriously and succeeded or sucked it up and been replaced. Chade just seems like the surer bet as far as reputation and experience, etc, even if he did come out of nowhere (Dag's ingenious conspiracy theory aside).
Say Munsia joined the commune and then by some strange twist of fate she was melded with Moralis, and the new abomination resulting from this was made Dark Marshall - that might cause a mass exodus.

Who are you, Petre? Where are you from? What do you do? Why are you GR3 before any other people who do the bulk of Glomdoring's work?
Not complaining, I'm just really damn curious.

Hey Revan, sorry to cause you (and others I think, Etanru included) so much internal strife:
I am Lyth and Gwynevere's son. I was a Moondancer for almost exactly one ear, and then I left the Serenwilde with my mom and dad the same day they did. (for OOC who am I you can look at my post in Meets and Greets)
But that's not why I'm GR3 first. First GF was for helping write GHelp Scrolls. Most of the people who have been trying to help with that have gotten GF'd for it. Second, I won the contest for the guild shop description (even though I left a bloody typo in it and need to give Lyth 10k to fix it) - Gwyn stated numerous times over GT that the winner of this contest would get her GF. So there we are, Petre at GR3 (as if it means anything). If it's any consolation, I don't think I would have gotten the GF for scroll writing if I'd already gotten the one for the shop contest.
Will get an avatar and a signature soon, sorry for the blankness.

Not causing me any strife, I've just heard complaints from other people *shrug* And I enjoy satiating my curiousity.
Petre2005-05-03 20:35:54
To everyone who was annoyed that I got two GF's: I apologize and hope the above explanation clears things up. As far as the people who do the bulk of the work, they (Jasper, Nayl, Chade from now on) got positions of leadership in the city, and the rest who work a lot (Tenqual training newbies, Nemi doing the same, Etanru, everybody else doing a lot of work) are mostly at GR2 and will be at 3 soon and will probably get positions of leadership in the guild when Viravain gets around to it. I, however, won't be getting a guild leadership position. It all evens out in the end. Also, I do think the people doing a bulk of the fighting and defense are under-represented in guildfavours, but that's because Gwyn is trying to get some basic administrative structure to the guild first.

Visaeris, those posts you just wrote made me realize even Munsia would have been a better Marshal than you. I'm starting to see why you're so disliked..
I didn't really understand it at first.

now now, thats a big insult Thorgal. As much as I dont like Visaeris, he would still make a better leader than the cow wench, along with some others that will remain nameless. With the right people pulling some of his strings I dont think hed be so darn bad. *shrug* But he wouldn't allow that huh... Oh well. Vis yer screwed, sowwie. lol
Malicia2005-05-03 22:21:48
I would love to see Munsia just snap and kill all of the people that feel and think so negatively about her. Oh wait..she DOES.

When Erion and Visaeris arent arguing over who ate the last chocolate pudding, Visaeris can be reasonable. He is quite capable of organizing people and leading them into battle, but I do not believe he displays the characteristics of someone who can lead in all aspects of the commune. He has also pissed off too many people and has yet to do anything to try and solve these grievances (Yeah I sooooo havent forgotten that time you killed me as a moondancer novice while I was flying around) so he cannot expect to hold a position in a place where everyone wants to see you die..... a lot.
