It is my humble opinion that being able to use lichdom to get into the catacombs of the dead (thus by passing the initial quest to open the gates) was perhaps not intended.

As we all know, souls can walk through doors. A Nihilist/Ur'guard can walk up to the door, heartstop, pass through, and reform as a lich. It sounds rather expensive and it is; however, typically quests to get into areas are there for a reason. Thanks.

Fain has already said there are a number of ways to get into the Catacombs without going through the quest. Lichdom it seems it perfectly alright. Sorry.

Thats a bug, that needs to be fixed now. The obelisks are supposed to be only one way, from the catacombs to Prime.

I don't recall him saying it in that manner.

Lisaera told some of us that it's actually not a bug and that we should be able to transverse in and out.

I believe Hajamin specifically told Daevos that it was a bug and politely asked him to tell Magnagora in an IC fashion that it was such.

That what was a bug? Going through the door by Liching... could've done it by dreamweaving, but it doesn't matter anymore as the obelisks are open, and gates are already weaved into Shallach.

I was refering to the use of Obelisks. Whether Lichdom is a bug or not I have no idea. What you really need to keep in mind is that Gods like Fain, while being wildly adored by you, are by no means complete officials of game mechanics. Hajamin and Roark are the coders, Estarra and Roark are the producers.

About the obelisks, I got clarification and it is not a bug. I originally told Daevos that because I thought it might be, so I asked him to not use it. As it has been declared not a bug, transverse away.

Fain is an administrator, he is an official of the game. He makes mistakes, as do we all, but if he says something, it's the same as any one of us saying so.

Neither liching in nor transversing in are bugs. Though why you would want to kill yourself to get into the Catacombs when there are much easier ways I don't know.
