2450h, 1775m, 2150e, 10p exk-
A redcap slashes you with a thin razor, causing blood to spurt from the wound,
which he soaks up with his little cap.
2404h, 1775m, 2150e, 10p exk-
You bleed 184 health.

Redcaps do a fair bit of bleeding, however they really need to be used in conjunction with the other non-existant fae. Nayl had all her current fae on me and I never got below 3500 mana *shrug* I'm assuming that bleeding will stack a crapload in a choke
Sylphas2005-05-03 19:32:21
You get paralysis, bleeding, and sleep ents, and a pooka. Oh, and the banshee. You've got plenty of passive mana drain, lash would be too much.
Unknown2005-05-03 19:32:27
Honestly, I found choke to be one of the stupid skills I have ever seen. At first, it was hard to counter it, but after several attempted jumps by Ceres, I learned how to force them out in many ways *loves inquisiton*!
Revan2005-05-03 19:33:53
Don't be so quick to toss out choke as useless. It's extremely deadly if the shadowdancer uses it in the right way.
Unknown2005-05-03 19:34:42
By itself, the skill is not as great as tarot aeon. If it was used in conjuction with a blacktalon demense, you would see Shiro run like hell tongue.gif
Revan2005-05-03 19:37:24
Or rather, make a valiant attempt while getting decimated by a BT druid and shadowdancer, stacking on a million afflictions, webbed, paralyzed, bleeding for 1k, etc all while trying to escape that one room
Unknown2005-05-03 19:39:14
*trueheals* muhaha!
Shiri2005-05-03 19:39:28
Choke > Tarot/Moon Aeon, because it's uncurable and unblockable, and Shadowdancers' passive effects >>> Moondancers'/Guardians'/Warriors'.

Maybe not a mages though. You won't want to use it on a Geomancer by way of example. sleep.gif

It sucks for warriors though. Hm. You just need to have the other two Fae out before you can judge it PROPERLY really.

You bleed 2 health.

Fear kingdom.

Not really, Warriors can tackle and charge people out of the choke rooms. Also, for us good Paladins, we can force them out with inquisition

Rogue Paladin, excuse me! snub.gif
Shiri2005-05-03 19:51:04
Yes, Ceres. An entourage of Shadowdancer ents > one angel or demon. Sleep + Slaugh (probably, depends what diseases you get) + Paralysis + Pigwidgeon in Aeon > one set of paralysis or shackles or even stun.
Thorgal2005-05-03 21:49:16
Practice > theory.

So far, shadowdancers suck the shizzles. They don't drain your mana even remotely enough to toadcurse, and their damage is so rediculously low and easy to stop, I have no clue how a shadowdancer is supposed to kill anyone that knows what he's doing.

Oh, and when the redcap feeds his cap to the barghest, the bargest will bite for 150 damage, fear it. They need some serious tweaking, cause their offense is far worse than moondancers, and that says a lot, especially cause their defence is far lower as well.
Torak2005-05-03 21:54:20
Allhex + choke.

Now, Thorgal.

Let's not exaggerate

3732h, 3138m, 10p exkdb-
With bloody froth drooling from its open maw and eyes glowing red, a barghest
leaps at your throat and viciously tears into your flesh with sharp teeth.
3536h, 3138m, 10p exkdb- (H- 196)

If you don't feed it, it can also paralyse.. if they're not deaf!
Thorgal2005-05-03 21:58:12
Seriously, who the hell designed these three new fae?
Terenas2005-05-03 21:58:53
I don't see how a Shadowdancer's offense would be weaker than a Moondancer's. They both have access to Hexes and healing, so that's balanced. Their faes are better offensively since the maiden and the mother aren't offensive faes, that leaves only the crone, whereas Shadowdancers have slaugh, redcap, and the barghest since they share all the other faes.

The only three offensive abilities in Moon are lash, burst, and darkmoon ( laugh.gif ). So that leaves 2 whopping offensive skills. How can you justify that Moondancers have worse offense than Shadowdancers when they have choke, nightkiss, shadow steal. The least you can say is that they are on par, and even that is subjective to debate.
