Means pretty much the same as domain, but is not pronounced that way. It is pronounced with a distinct D sound, not the Doe sound of domain. Then again, americans might pronounce domain as if it had no o. Meh.

EDIT: Not that I speak french or whatever the word comes from, that is just how I've learnt it and read about it.

I'm English, and would pronounce domain without the doe sound.

That's just the Hull accent. You'd have it like "d'mayn", right? RP English would have the "doe" sound. (Albeit not that heavily emphasised.)

Actually Demesne isn't exactly pronounced as domain with a harder D- and no -oe-, there's actually a hard -i- in there, as in pit. Di-mayn, or, possibly, Di-meen.

I wrote it for fun, a friend of mine was trying to write a song and jokingly mentioned the Glomdoring, and it inspired me.

I couldn't realistically see the Gods actually giving me credits for er, that, but I had fun writing it! And winning something with it would amuse me to no end. Hint Hint.

I don't generaly like rap, but that was pretty funny. You should write more!
