Back to Ideas.

I don't like the power cost idea, I do like the long EQ and Balance time to change though.

Changing mid combat is wierd, however changing between combats makes sense to me. I think of beastboy from Teen Titans. An octopus to fight the boat, but a lion to fight the driver of the boat.
Sylphas2005-05-06 21:45:57
If you sink a boat, wouldn't the driver go with it?

I really like the power idea, because changing your whole form should be taxing, and it's in line with other abilities. I mean, 8 power for stagcurse, but free to change your race? It doesn't seem consistent, even if it is an artifact. Infinite reincarnations, without exp loss, is still infinite reincarnations without exp loss.
Desdemona2005-05-06 21:57:42
To my knowledge Beast Boy would change into many things given the circumstances... falling? Turns into a bird, about to be smashed by rocks turns from a rat to an elephant.

Edit: That's why they should change "reincarnation" to merely shapeshifting. tongue.gif Though, do you really reincarnate when activating the cameo's power?

I didn't buy one Terenas, get off my case.

And the costing power thing is idiotic. If people worry about it being used in combat, give it a 30 second timer or something.

Then perhaps stop flaunting around the fact that it costs $300 and it should do whatever you want it to.

I personally feel it is fine the way it is at the moment, you are getting a free reincarnation every Lusternia month without having to actually die. If you want to be able to do it more than once a day, then it should have some cost associated with it.

Like an equilibrium cost! You are genius
Desdemona2005-05-06 22:43:33
Equilibrium could be fine... especially if changing from a petite race to a gargantuan one, the transformation time be increased tongue.gif From faeling to Igasho, 20 secs worth of equilibrium, fae to furrikin 1 sec, furrikin to Viscanti 8 sec, and so on. This would be fun.

Edit: Also, maybe if someone while in the process of transforming got hit by a super powerful attack to get... "Transformation Interrupted. Form lost in the transition", this ending up on changelings who were trying to transform end up turning into formless blobs! At least until their equi were returned, enabling them to try transformation again.
Richter2005-05-06 23:00:05
I'm not "flaunting" anything. I don't own a cameo, and I don't have that kind of money for credits right now. If you're going to use words, use them properly, lest I should have to educate you.

Look. It doesn't make sense to have it useable once a day. Why don't we start adding costs to things that are natural to us, like, I dunno, walking.

Wait, this is because "Achaea has it". Nevermind.

Quit jumping at suggestions, everyone else is fine with brainstorming.
Richter2005-05-06 23:13:19
Maybe I have a different vision of what they're supposed to be *shrug*
Sylphas2005-05-06 23:15:13
How do you know what's natural to a changeling or not? Oh, wait, we do: It's natural for them to be able to change once a month, because that's the only data we have to go off of, instead of assumptions.
Richter2005-05-06 23:52:03
Hence why I said it appears I have a different view of what they should be. And its the same in the other IRE games, we were looking for a -real- reason.

I want to see some changeling RP, maybe a race file. *nod me*
