So, I decided to test some things out with Thorgal, to demonstrate that a sacrifice is rather easy to pull off with the right setup.

All you have to do is hit with ectoplasm and scabies/epilepsy and have them stay on your target just long enough to crucify them.

Edit: Basically, before I recovered balance AT ALL (though I doubt a trigger would have gotten the command writhe through the first time it was so fast), Thorgal had enough time to shrivel all my limbs, throw aeon twice, and sip a cup of tea before sacrificing me. Getting scabies/epilepsy to stick with ectoplasm just long enough to crucify isn't difficult. Contagion gives scabies/epilepsy and rigormortis to speed the breaks of limbs, also gives pox to stack up salve balance. The Demon can also give Epilepsy/Scabies, as well as stupidity, making Sacrifice actually an easier instant-kill to pull off then soulless.

Yup, same as in Alger's log of me and him. Just takes a keen eye and timing.

Not even a keen eye on timing. Demon hits with scourge on both epilepsy/scabies, and you can crucify right then and there, provided they never scrubbed the ectoplasm. Follow up with Aeon. Sacrifice is easier to pull off then Soulless in my opinion. It's even doable for a hex user, since you can hex with stupidity, epilepsy, and scabies.

Let's also not forget the three person instant-death of crucify/trample/sacrifice.

I was winded for upwards of 20 seconds against Murphy. Ectoplasm + 4 winds in two combos = screwed and easily sacrificeable. They can still also give scabies/epilepsy with contagion.

For a Ur'guard it definately takes timing but guardians could pull it off a hell of a lot easier like you said.

Let's see, I also count Thorgal chanting puella 8 times before I ever regained balance.

I think in my eyes, Sacrifice just went from a weak instant-kill, to a great instant-kill. I'd be pulling it off left and right.

This is going to be fun. All necromancers are going to read this and become awesome at pulling off sacrifices and then we can all scream NERF. The loss of balance is a little over the top I think.

Nah, it's fine, the balance loss is what makes it doable.

It's an easier kill then Judgement, that's for sure.

Judgement is better for group combat where it is easily missed.
Whereas Sacrifice is something nice that doesn't look so hard anymore in one vs one.

This is what you call creative use of skills.

The loss of balance is the only way to pull sacrifice off, if it wouldn't throw you off balance that much, how do you think we're supposed to stop you from writhing off?

It's easily prevented by just curing ectoplasm, the only reason Murphy threw Tuek off balance for 20 seconds is cause he didn't bother curing ectoplasm, since he didn't think it'd affect him. And the only reason Tuek didn't regain balance on the cross in this log, is also because he didn't cure the ectoplasm.

I know how hard it is to pull off a sacrifice being an ex-necromancer especially when they have the balance to writhe but posting without a whiny statement just seems wrong

Anyway, it isn't too difficult to stick ectoplasm. You can hit with ectoplasm and scabies/epilepsy all at once if you are lucky with the Demon. And if a Knight happens to slash you right after they have been given ectoplasm... well...

Make a timer for your demon, it hits what every..something or the other seconds and just use its messages for a timer on the side bar Not that I could do this but I am you could Thorgal(Then send it to me ).

I'll go as far to say that Sacrifice is a great skill. Just no one has tried to use it properly yet. I have now presented you with the method. Go forth and cease the bitching.

Uh lets get some logs rolling of it happening! I think it has alot of potential but is very reliant on the opponent not bothering with ecto, and having good timing on the cruficy..on a side note I was wondering if you can quicken and have time by the end of it to crucify.
