Bashing areas

Oh yeah, forgot the sewers of Celest/Magnagora.

Serenwilde - Earth and Water plane, just dont get caught, i mean you can do anything as long as you dont get caught! tongue.gif
Most of the people who can actually bash Glom without dying can bash the moors, i mean there's like 10 or more deaths to the Thorn beasts per day. mellow.gif
Elryn2005-05-08 01:48:42
Tenqual, anyone can bash all of those areas by 'not getting caught'. That wasn't my point.
Unknown2005-05-08 01:52:06
Well, take over the Moors, Tosha or Balach! happy.gif

Actually, we were hoping the orcs would be suitable for levels 21-40 (or at least 30-40). Out of curiosity, could you list some examples of mobs (animals or whatever that are around in Lusternia) which are suitable for levels 21-40?

For 31-40, areas that someone else mentioned above (Silvanus maybe) - Ballach, the Desert. For 21-30: I can only think of rockeaters and Oleanvir Valley. Ratting is slow and boring. Best experience at these levels come from questing - lead those pilgrims to that peak until you reach level 30.

Really, we need a lower-level area. Something that none of the cities would associate with themselves.

The non gravedigger part of the Blasted Lands is fine, just tell your novices to use the GLANCE skill everyone gets and if they Glance see a mound of fine sand -dont- go there. Also i'm sure there's Stoats in the Grey moors they can bash, Mages/Guardians/Serens/Gloms can bash the trouts in the rivers. They can also rat/weevil, i mean in Open Beta, when there was like nothing in the Caverns, i ratted my way to 40 with a few grubs now and then. happy.gif There's lots of areas, you just need to know what your looking for.

Serenwilde could use a sewer like equivalent, heh.
Actually, come to think of it, this isn't a very good idea. Ignore me. laugh.gif

Sure, I've suggested this before -- it should be the weevil hive, with the weevil queen somewhere in it, protected by her drone bodyguards. What I'd do with it if I were building it is make it so if you kill the queen, which would be a sizable challenge, the remaining denizens would go berserk and start tearing the hive apart, so you'd have to get out quick. Then there'd be a little while with no hive, and a new hive wouldn't appear for a few game days, and then it'd appear in a difference place. The entrance to the hive would be a hidden entrance somewhere in the forest, though there'd be some kind of clue as to its location.

the only thing that we dont tolerate being killed in the fortress are the orclach since they're ur'guard... omg really that doesnt make any sense does it, sure we bash those things... really... can people be any less of an idiot...

Attitude of kill kill kill my ass... you know whats the most annoying attitude here its not that, its the "omg this dude is doing something i dont like it must be for some stupid reason or because hes just an ass!" Typical brats.

Know about the alcohol.
But what Alger said makes perfect sense.
Just pull it apart, and make it say
"I'm not-quite good at writing this message, but we just don't kill the Ur'Guard there"
Unknown2005-05-08 15:30:42
I see. Thanks Nayl.

Btw, I love your sig.

"Dance, my puppets, dance!" - God.

Classic.

There's more than one message.

Typhus- Before Rogue

1. Newton till 20
2. Grubs until 28ish

Typhus- After Rogue

1. Spectres till 49, almost fifty.

Influence at lower levels >> hunting. I remember getting 6 or 7% from level 1 Celest guards at 30ish. And at least 1% from them in the 40s, awesome experience since there are so many of them.
Shiri2005-05-10 19:04:39
That's a lot less viable for non-merians/mugwumps though.

Not particularly, the three races with the lowest cons are Faeling, Merian, and Mugwump. All of which have decent to high charisma that can use influence effectively since they suck at hunting at the lower levels. I consider it more of a balance.
Olan2005-05-10 19:39:06
I think in this context, Shiri means by "less viable" :"Not possible to do with zero risk and high reward like you can if you have an eq bonus."

Of course, I think any no risk high reward experience gain is lame. I think everyone should have to chant for themselves and sip instead of just being fast enough to win without getting hit. But apparently, that isn't how They want to do it.
Terenas2005-05-10 19:42:06
I agree it is a bit unbalancing with the fast eq. I have never influenced as anything but a Merian so I'm not sure how much help the +1 eq bonus contributes to it, but I still had to sip bromide on anything higher than level 1 guards, and will definitely burn through against any named mobs. It's not win win all the times. It's just rather decent exp to get you to level 30, then you could easily do the Elemental planes for much better exp but more risk.
Sylphas2005-05-10 19:44:59
Without that +1 eq, figure on about twice the ego loss.
