Ok, I've attached a screenshot to illustrate the problem but here's the explanation.

I somehow detached my settings editor window and I can't get it to dock up again. I have to right click and select edit on each trigger, alias or whatever in order to change any settings. How can I fix it so my editor window is linked again?

Shrink the larger window, and position the smaller one until it docks.

Tried doing that, it hasn't worked at all. It still won't dock.

Did you try dragging it all around the bottom of your settings window? You need to find just the right spot for it to dock. There is no setting to disable docking of that small window pane, as far as I know.

It's better that way anyway

Ok, figured it out. On the settings window, click view, and there's a button that says lock layout. It must be unlocked in order to dock and undock. If it is locked, you won't be able to redock it.

I coulda sworn I looked at all the menu options. I just missed that one there. Good eye!

Yay! It works now, thanks so much everyone! Turns out the layout was locked after all.
