Woah, I just read that on top-mudsites.
Here's a link to the thread, so that I won't have to rewrite all of the stuff.
It's looks totally AWESOME! I just hope it will be implemented in Lusternia soon. Just look at it!

Yes, we will be getting that... headache.

holy.......that looks purty
Nayl2005-05-09 13:17:25
Especially with the racial pics we got, that so win over Achaea's
Acrune2005-05-09 13:17:28
That is pretty nice looking. Sticking with zmud though. My main complain with java is that it feels like it has more lag to me. Although I do use java to play at school...
Gwylifar2005-05-09 13:31:31
I'm wondering if, while they're putting on all those chrome tailfins, they'll give the thing an engine. You know, a gag command and some conditionals.
Acrune2005-05-09 13:37:07
I'm not sure how the java client works, but when I added a decent bit of triggers to java, it crash for me and deleted all the triggers, aliases, etc for the client. I'm not sure if thats just a problem with the java itself, the programming of it on achaea, or my computer, but I'd guess that there would be a lot of things you couldn't do on java, no matter how much work you put into it.
Nayl2005-05-09 13:49:10
Consult Shiri.
He could tell you about Java, if you so desire.

Java apparently can only take so much. I am constantly told to delete my triggers, but usually just ignore it and carry on.
Shiri2005-05-09 14:57:11
Yes, it does spazz out and die if you try to have even a single trigger with a {*} in, for example. I experimented with it a bit and if you try to do it, you just get nailed whether it's your only trigger or one of 600. Also, it will occasionally throw a tantrum for no readily apparent reason, tell you you have too many triggers, and die. You may then restart the client and have it work exactly as before, the new trigger functioning as normal. () You just have to work around that.
Oh, and if it just crashes entirely sometimes don't worry about that either. Also try to use {<}s, it isn't lying when it says it likes them.
Also I hate how autoparry gets screwed up because of long weapon names, but. What I REALLY want is gagging. Gagging and logging. If it has that, I'll be okay with it. (I wish it didn't look different though. WEEP. )

I found nexus a little... clustered. This is probably because I am used to java, and nexus has a similar look but with things moved and added. It reminds me of my Dad. He has a specific desktop layout he likes, and if change change one little thing, he cannot stand it and changes it back.
What I'm saying is, it is good, and I just have issues (as does Shiri. We should make banners!)

Yeah.. if you ever use it, and bother to read the rest of the page (which I did when I regressed to Achaea for a while) you see that they are planning on eventually putting in cool stuff like that. What I REALLY want to see is something that allows you to import scripts, that would be awesome

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't want it looking any different. But, it will, so I'll have to make do. I almost considered switching to zMUD at that point because it was going to look different ANYWAY, but JAVA has all my aliases and stuff, and it like, looks more friendly than zMUD, and I don't have to struggle to try to get the font etc. to look like it used to...bleh.
But if it has gagging, my worst enemy in combat (craploads of spam so I miss my echoes and manual curing prompts) will be...reduced, not eliminated, but.
Manjanaia2005-05-09 15:35:40
You know what I'd love java to have? A bigger screen. I mean, you can maximise to fit your monitor, but the actually game screen is tiny.
(If it does I'm an idiot.)

Shiri2005-05-09 15:42:29
Heh. No, it doesn't do that, but I like THAT as it is too.
EDIT: I ADORE how the Lusternia one can be made to fit your screen, though. If I could see other stuff around the back of it it annoyed the hell out of me. I'm dumb like that.

Manjanaia2005-05-09 15:59:01
Yeah! That annoyed me in Achaea.
Shiri2005-05-09 16:12:18
I'm not sure if it would WORK any bigger, that's all. Linebreaks and everything would be screwed up, and it would mess around with peoples' illusions, etc. etc.
Oh, also. Imperian and Achaea should make it flexy like that. (There's no point now, but they should have!)

Manjanaia2005-05-09 16:16:09
Nah, not magnifying it, I mean having more on the screen, at the same size.
Shiri2005-05-09 16:22:15
Ohhh I see what you mean. Yeah, I guess that wouldn't bother me much. BUT, if you think about it, you want what you're looking at to be in the middle of the screen, don't you? Not like, at the bottom.
Manjanaia2005-05-09 16:25:08
Probably wouldn't bother me. If it was optional, it'd be great.
