Glomdoring/Serenwilde treaty?

Back to Common Grounds.

I can't get an answer on this in-game, which makes me think that Viravain situation must be even worse than what I'd heard... the Glomdoring posts say the commune has a peace treaty with Serenwilde, yet I've been part of the commune for a few hours and already several trees have been chopped down and I get dead silence when I ask about it. So, is there a treaty or not, or is only Glomdoring having to abide by it?

EDIT: Ok, finally got an answer.
Manjanaia2005-05-15 07:45:34
The word is, we are not strong enough to fight the Serenwilde, so we are subjected to this treaty.

EDIT: So I heard it anyway.

We don't.

Not official. And not likely to be, judging by Gregori's post.

If I heard right, it is because you don't have Chade's verification. Why don't you go ask other high ranking members?
Sylphas2005-05-15 07:47:17
From what I've been told, which is damned little, the only thing agreed to is that you ask before you set foot in Faethorn, or we remove that foot, and the rest of you.

It's pretty much you just telling us you're coming in, which annoys Sylphas as a character to no end, but we can't really say no and kill everyone without more of a reason.

Actually, the treaty was that you do not chop down our trees on prime, we do not kill Fae. We enter Faethorn with permission, as same for Glomdoring.

Glomdoring news board says it's official unsure.gif Poor Glom.

"Nothing matters but glomdoring" is repeated over and over again for a reason.
Shiri2005-05-15 07:54:20
...well...Glomdoring newsboard either lies, or you're misinterpreting it. *peer*

Hasn't filtered down from the Council then, yet. And looking at Gregori's last post, I doubt it will.

Then again, it's not like anyone tells the SEG anything. *mutter*

I'm not sure what you mean by that in this situation.
Daganev2005-05-15 08:02:15
Basically, whatever serenwilde does or says doesn't really matter. What matters is Glomdoring's perspective on things. The CHELP scrolls on the issue make much more sense than the 'treaties' and posts.

Also if you read Chade's post carefully it says 'bearing approval from Gregor' or some such thing.

So while nobody is lieing to anybody, perception of events may vary.

Which is one of the reason why I think Glomdoring is so interesting. happy.gif

Incidentally, I think Brennan's warnings should be looked at. Last I recall Miakoda shouts at the first chop, while I was told Brennan only gave a warning when each tree fell.

If they are different, they should be reconciled.
Daganev2005-05-15 08:10:59
The amount of barriers Glomdoring is breaking I think is amazing... tis my favorite aspect so far.

Unknown2005-05-15 08:11:08
I get it then, and I guess I did miss that part of the post. Mostly just skimmed them, had 63 to read tongue.gif

Hmm, someone should definitly bug that. I thought you only know about things you lost, not things your about to lose.

Perhaps it is different because Miakoda shouts about a moonhart tree in pain, while Brennan shouts that a ravenwood has died?
Elryn2005-05-15 08:15:06
I could be wrong about Miakoda.
