Vitae sticks

There's a tactic I think that could be used instead of bitching about dark moon. It's called getting out of the room, pronto.
And if you're whine about having to move, in response to this, then I'd like to politely ask you in advance to shut up .

No matter who uses it, this argument NEVER MAKES ANY SENSE. No one skill should automatically give a room to one side or person because the only answer to the skill is to leave (and not just for a second, as long as it is active). Try again.
/edit, by the way, in a world where sooo many defenses require long balance/eq time (percentage wise many more than Achaea) and many require power, passive defense stripping is just too powerful. Period. You can almost shut someone down just trying to keep defenses up. Passive afflicting AND defense stripping in one skill...well...I just keep holding my breath for necromancy and knight stuff I guess...
Laysus2005-05-15 20:57:01
Well, it's not the only answer. It's equivalent to being in a druid's demesne. Get out, lust the person, whatever, you either stick it out, lust the person, or move. It's quite simple.
Erion2005-05-15 20:58:17
But you're a wicca, not a druid. See the problem?
I want to see choke strip defenses randomly. That's balance.

I want a retard vibe, then, to use in combination with my fae
Erion2005-05-15 21:03:11
With you giving random afflictions and stripping defs, I imagine a Hellen Keller vibe won't do you any more good. People are basically screwed anyway.
Olan2005-05-15 21:04:31
Laysus: Or shield, or break the demense...oh what, wait? You can't just break a demense and get rid of it? So once you own territory with it, you just get to keep it? While contagion can be gusted away? Wow!
Also, nice edit to make it look like you preempted. Real mature.

The afflictions given aren't really that good though
Dark moon is now not a skill that gives random afflictions with the side effect of stripping defs, it's a defense-stripping room attack that gives a couple of pesky afflictions.
And Olan, I edited before you posted, shush

you edited while I was posting. Meaning I can't see it. And you didn't even mark it an edit.
Passive defense stripping is too powerful, you haven't even argued this point. Even if the afflictions are crap.
And much of the game revolves around controlling territory. Demenses aren't that hard to handle. Passive afflicting and defense stripping that isn't demense dependant (and thus limited), and can't, as far as anyone has mentioned, be 'blown away' is a hell of a lot more powerful than contagion.
Why don't you make an argument instead of just saying "don't say that! I don't want to hear it!"

Someone nerf editing before Olan accuses it of being overpowered? :/
Also. Lich is too powerful. Ghost is too powerful. Trueheal is too powerful. Wisp is too powerful.
Define too powerful, someone?

Massively Super OMGWTFBBQHAX crap for the other person.
Trust me, as ex Lich user, fighting Lichers (occasionally). IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO SHUT THEM DOWN.
Next: Ghost: AFFLICTS GO THROUGH IT, Next?
Trueheal, My only argument is that it resets balance/equil
Wisp is... overpowered, needs to be timered, stopped by shield, not mono.

Oh well done Laysus, great argument there.
It just turns the room into a demesne, therefore it's balanced and acceptable.

And one, 8 power move, not the 1p to convert, 8p to turn into demesne (Active), and a separate archetype (Major offense -not- based in said Demesne)
Soll2005-05-15 21:39:32
It's going to strip all of 18 defences, randomly, over 3 minutes, in its total time, for 8p. Is that -really- so evil? Needlerain targets specific defences that aid the Aquamancer, for 1p, if that, possibly every 8-10 seconds depending on skillranks. Spring can be used a whole lot faster than every 10 seconds, sure, that's an Active skill, but you could destroy all defences for 0p with that. Contagion can't be blown away if a Lich's present either, and a lot Contagionists are Lichs. The afflictions aren't really that hard to throw off, and are very limited, so there's not a whole lot worth it there, the 8p is mainly for the def stripping feature now. Oh yeah, and just sip love. That'll stop the effects of Dark Moon, or atleast throw us off eq for ~4+ seconds while we reject, in that time we can't do anything but have passive effects going for us. I fail to see the overpoweredness.

If you don't know the balance difference between a passive skill and an active skill..
Soll2005-05-15 21:52:02
I know the difference
