8p to set it up in two rooms? So it's 4 power per room, or automatically spreads to one adjacent room when dropped?
It's more mobile than demesne. Not even going to argue thatÂ

Er. No, 8p EACH in two rooms, I meant.
And it depends what "mobile" is in situation.
Terenas2005-05-16 01:11:50
It's identical to Reality except for the duration and afflictions.
Unknown2005-05-16 01:14:50
I never even noticed that it stripped defenses. That's cool, but like Terenas said, it doesn't strip the main power using defenses, I.E Crowform, Drawdown, Lichdom, Vitae, etc. It's sort of like cleansing really. Hmmmm... I wish there was some way defense stripping abilities could be limited to non-power abilities entirely.
Anyway, it's an 8 power cleansing rite, so at least it can't be whored and dropped in every single room you move too. One shot go. You have to move for soulless don't you? Why not move for it?
Also, if anything is ridiculous, undoing is, since it can be embedded demesne wide for 0 power, and it strikes ALL enemies simultaneously, rather then scaling down and striking less people with the more people you have in the room.
I could forsee dark moon losing the defense stripping qualities, in place for a better and wider range of afflictions.

It is NOT more mobile than a demesne, by any stretch. At most, a demesne costs me 1 power per room, plus 8. 9 if I dissolve and remeld each room seperately for some reason. I can stretch my demesne for at most, 1 power, and the effects will spread. Demesne is much cheaper.

Tuek, it DIDN'T strip defences, they just changed it now.
Sylphas2005-05-16 01:29:23
Undoing is not 0 power demesne wide, it's 1-400 power demesne wide.

*roll*
Demense you must taint/forest/flood, weave terrain. At least 2 moves if you already have all of your effects set up otherwise, and you must do it in a room adjacent to one you've already done it in before.
Skills like this, you run in and drop it anywhere you want, and it's there. It is significantly faster and more mobile than demesne.

8p.
Vs 1p.
That's the thing you're missing.
Unknown2005-05-16 01:32:49
I didn't "miss" it, that's not very relevant to how mobile the skill is. It's slightly relevant, but the increased power cost doesn't outweight the extra 2-3 moves and adjacent requirement demesnes have. There's a lot more to this I could add, but it's really just stupid so I'm not going to comment on this mobility subject anymore.
Sylphas2005-05-16 01:35:34
By the time you're back to 8 power, I've forested and melded a lot more than one room.
Unknown2005-05-16 01:36:47
You can run in, taint, meld, and you gota demesne. It doesnt take that long to do two things, and its a lot cheaper. Therefore, they are equal *sagenod*.
Unknown2005-05-16 01:47:46
Also, Druid's can't weave terrain :-P
Athana2005-05-16 02:51:15
does it stack ontop of a demesne? so if you used it ontop of an Aquamancer demesne it would strip defs times 2 -gulp-
Sylphas2005-05-16 03:51:24
Actually, demesne, darkmoon, and stagcurse all stack. Probably reality too. Then throw in choke and a blackout mote...

We'll try it next time Celest, Glomdoring, and Serenwilde ally themselves against the meanies in Magnagora.
Amaru2005-05-16 16:06:49
Jello, I can't help but wonder what the arrow on your sig is pointing to.
Thorgal2005-05-16 19:00:01
Your name has to be Amaru to notice that.
Manjanaia2005-05-16 20:04:25
What arrow?
Laysus2005-05-16 20:11:25
