Hmm. I'm getting out my d20 until we have better reasons. That sheep scared me, and I don't want to invoke the power of sheep anymore.

Ok, 21 players, and of those 21, 11 have light hair. At least 1 of those 11 is a Soulless (and it's possibly Navaryn).
There are 5 total Soulless; the odds that Navaryn was a Soulless are 1/11 (not good).
Our next clue has a 1/5 (or as much as a 1/9, if BOTH guardians and BOTH seers also pick the person) chance of being the same person (if Navaryn wasn't a Soulless).

Actually, it's about 31% that we killed a soulless. I have no desire to post the formulae here.
And aren't we supposed to be sleeping?

I think while I sleep.
I was basing my 1/11 just based on the info gathered. Yeah, chances are more likely than not that there are 2-3 light-haired Soulless, but I'm not using that at the moment.

Zzzzz.
Tsuki2005-05-20 14:34:33
Think this night's up to almost 36 hours now? Hope you're all sleeping well. I'm waiting for quite a few important votes, and one crucial one.
Just to speak randomly, not giving the details, to let you know how I'm thinking and thus why I'm still waiting ...
If at least one Soulless sends me a vote, I can assume that as the target. Everything's good.
If a Seer doesn't send me a vote during the time they're supposed to, that's not so good, but it's alright ... I might even be willing to let them do a "catch-up" scry during the next day.
If a Guardian doesn't send me a vote of who to guard ... that can't be made up, and it could have a crucial effect on the game.
I imagine you can guess who at least one of the missing votes is, at least role-wise.
Vote off the inactives! *cough* Who said that?
Edit: Oh, and if this gets up to 48 hours without the messages I need, I'll think of another solution to continue. Have a vague idea already.

Kill em all off??
Xenthos2005-05-21 03:23:56
As it seems that at least one of those being inactive is a guardian... um... not really a good idea, Tatiana.
Tatiana2005-05-21 03:37:11
...oops...
Tsuki2005-05-21 03:38:47
One way or another, we're going to continue soon.
Unknown2005-05-21 03:41:55
I wish people woudln't put their hand up to play if they have no intention of checking in at least once every day or so.
Tsuki2005-05-21 04:16:32
Muttered voices might have been heard from the darkest spot of shadows, had anyone else been near enough to listen. The Soulless had gathered to choose their next victim, but some had set their eyes on different targets.
"Him?"
"No, what about her?"
"I say him..."
They were silent for a moment.
"It will be him," one said decisively, agreeing with the target another had chosen. "And I will go."
The group scattered, some disappearing by arcane methods and others slinking away in a more mundane fashion. The assassin concentrated, then vanished and reappeared just inside the door of the room where Laysus slept, awkward where he'd drifted off while sitting in a chair.
Mmm, perfect. Now, how to kill him? The throat last night was a nice touch, but perhaps not so bloody this time... Both hands extended, the Soulless reached out quickly for Laysus's throat --
-- and encountered a sizzling barrier of light which suddenly sprang into existence to protect him. The Soulless jerked back his/her hands with a shocked cry of pain.
The sound woke Laysus, who jerked upright and blinked wildly to clear his vision. The combination of fuzziness from sleep and the dazzling light of the barrier enabled him only to recognize that the figure looming above him was tall before the Soulless screamed in frustration and vanished.
As the barrier began to fade, Laysus whispered his thanks to the guardian who'd protected him before rising and hurrying to the door.
"Wake, wake!" he shouted the alarm as the first faint traces of dawn appeared on the horizon.
Day 2
The plans of the Soulless were averted, when a guardian protected Laysus from a tall assailant!
Time to vote!

I vote for Branwyn

Xavius
He was Laysus' target, and then Laysus comes under attack? It could be a ploy, with Laysus beign a Soulless and knowing a guardian was protecting him, but still...

But how would he know he's being protected? No one knows they're being protected unless the souless fail to kill them

I think Quidgyboo is right.
