So yeah, all hail the crappy camera.
This is Smudge, so named for that blotch on her nose. She's about 9 months old.
This is Shadow, so named because he actually absorbs light from the area and he moves silently. He's fun to trip over at night :/
EDIT: I suck at BBCode.

Right now I have two dogs, a ferret, and my raccoon left abouts a month ago. I will put some pictures up if I get bored later.

Some of you guys must live in cool places! The closest thing you could get to a hermit crab in Hull is a squatting chav with a bandana.

I looooove my chow/golden retriever! Isn't Cocoa just adorable?
And oh wow. The last two are huge. Sorry!

Ah, so that's how golden retriever looks like. I've always wondered, it was in almost every Dean Koontz book, guy must really like them.
Unknown2005-06-07 01:50:13
He's got one, or two I believe, all the time.
Sylphas2005-06-07 02:04:44
You couldn't have just google image searched for golden retriever?

I used to have some hermit crabs, but when I was cleaning out their little cage thing I think one of my cats grabbed it and ate it...

I didn't have internet back then when I was reading those books.

I have a roman fighting mastiff, a Cane Corso, named Bacchus. Because my family is catholic, and it gave my grandmother a heart attack knowing my dog is named after a god who's followers had orgies and feasts completed with binge-eating and (OMG) gay seks.
Soll2005-06-08 15:51:44
pretty doggie.

I have a half bichon frise, half something I forget puppy. And I have a really fat bunny with a double chin, so for exercise, I let the puppy chase the bunny around the house in circles, which works fine because the bunny is still fast as all hell and always gets away.

Omg, cute! -Kinda- like my dog, except my Dot is fluffier and has bigger and fluffier ears. Well, they're the same colour and size, anyway.

I used to have hermit crabs, but they refused to die, so when they finally did, I didn't want any more. My hermit crabs we also notoriously crazy.
We started out with 2 hermits crabs. One for me, one for my sister. My crab was a little bigger, and more aggressive, and apparently was pretty mean to my sister's hermit crab. Mom got a hermit crab later, but mine killed it over night. And by killed, I mean pieces of it were all over the cage. So, back to two hermit crabs. Hmm... so thats why my sister's crab doesn't come out of her shell much. To avoid further fatalities, the crabs got their own seperate apartments within the cage, and the crabs lived happily for a year or so, until mine died. So, killer is dead, and we bury him, and get me a new one. I now have the smaller crab, and apparently the constant fear followed by the relief of my crab's death knocked a screw loose within my sister's crab's head. She started changing her shell on an hourly basis. Every time we looked at her, she had on a new shell. On occation, we'd find her wearing one of MY crab's shells, which was interesting, as the cage was divided by a 5 inch class wall, which apparently my sister's crab figured out how to climb over (impressive for an inch tall crab). That lead to the crabs getting a taller wall between them, until my sister's crab died like, 6 years later, then mine a little over a year after that. Hermit crabs aren't supposed to live that long
But yeah, they were just crabs, but sometimes you gotta wonder what goes on in their little heads
Sadly, I have bad allergies, so I cant get dogs, cats, birds, etc. That leaves snakes and lizards, which my parents wont let me have. So it looks like crabs or nothing for me

Actually hermit crabs have been known to live up to 10 years in captivity if given the proper care.
But yeah I always use to think my hermit crab was dead because I never see it out of its coconut house unless I take him out myself...then I found out that they're nocturnal
