Okay, so. We've been given a place to post both character and player pictures. I assume by this we mean what your character looks like, and what the actual person looks like, no?

So. I search by player pictures, expecting to see some actual people. Not a single one! Some of them are the same as the character picture, some of them are like, you know, a badger. Or whale. Whatever.

I guess my question is, why don't people put character pics in character pics, player pics in player pics in player pics, and other unlrelated junk on the forums?

It would also seem the webiste is buggy in that area. I just put my real picture as my player pic, and the character one is there.

Because some people have been bugging me about it, I'll replace the badger the second I get a picture of a decent-looking black-coloured kitsunebito.

Oh, and I put my player picture in the right place. Albeit a cruddy one because the only half-way decent one was huge.

Any graphic editor can resize pictures, Shiri! (Even silly ole Paint in Windows.)

..you can resize in -paint-? I thought you could only make it smaller by taking space off the edges, thereby ineffectively cropping the picture.

Yeah, I meant huge as in filesize, not huge as in...sizesize.

Yeah, paint can't really do that. It can maybe shrink it, definitely crop it, but a bitmap is still going to be huge.

Download GIMP, save it as a jpeg, pick how much you need it compressed.

You can still save a Paint bitmap as JPEG though.

Don't underestimate the basic tools. Paint is the most overpowered graphic editor ever. NERF MS PAINT!
All the pictures that I use for my avatars/signatures or just post, are made/edited (if they're screenshots) in paint.

I did, but it came out as like 224kb, and it wanted 100kb.

And the one I DID end up posting was like 7kb.

Yeah, I changed mine to JPEG with paint, making it smaller.

GIMP pwns j00 if the aforementioned j00 does not have access to Photoshop or the funds required to buy said Photoshop.

If you open up paint, Cntrl + A, Ctrl X, Ctrl V will give you a marqee around your picture that allows you to easily resize and move your picture so you can crop and shrink. The only thin you can't do is make your image larger. Although if your using Windows XP, the image viewer will probably be an easier way to rezise your pic. (You can even change the contrast if you like)

If ya dun know how to use Paint, you kinda fail, i mean Paint is like the basics of the basics of basically the basics. But yeah, you can do most things in paint, just takes a looong looong loooonog time. I mean if you had the time, you could make a better pictre in Paint then Photostop, but ya'd have to do it pixel by pixel.. long.
If you really want photostop, just get a trial version of a CD then go steal a code from the net somewhere Not that i would...
