Hmm... I just tested that too and it was 5 seconds bofore i writhed free. As paladin merian with 13 dextirity and 14 size so, size is same as your Shiro and you writhed faster?
Mayby transfix is based on intelligence. You had more then me or mayby you are smaller then my merian?

Shiro didn't timestamp anything, since he doesn't have one. It's +/- 6 seconds writhing to get out of transfix normally.

Saying dazzle is useless as it is is just plain ignorant, it strips blindness and sixthsense, then transfixes you before they can even put up blindness again, since dazzle eq is faster than two herbbalances. In teams the use effectiveness is obvious.

So 5-6 seconds for 2 power is quite nice and balanced i think, dizziness and confusion and transfix it was just to powerful.
This new dazzle could be very handy. If you would have to fight with lets say 2 Southgard defenders, one will be casting dazzle and second one, judge

And what would be if there would be 3 of them?

Is a 4 power, 2eq glorified web really THAT good? Does transfix do something else I'm not aware of? :/

EDIT: Keep in mind that 1 eq is NOT necessarily faster than 2 herbbalances when you're having to writhe from a Nihilist, get unstunned from knockdown/lodestone/jellies, focus body from Druidry, etc. in the middle of it...

No trasfix is just like normal web, but you have to have eq balance to start writhing so it will be 5 or more seconds. Yes it isn't as good as stun but i always can envenom manatakaya on my swords and targetting in head, praying that me target dont parry it and and try to cut off ear and give a little stun or wield shield and stun. So 5 seconds writhing isnt so bad.
And it will be extremly usefull in group fights.

It's just yet another upgrade to an already powerful class, the most powerful of all the wiccan/guardian classes for that matter.
Also, faeleaf should have its own balance, I'm not saying remove its balance, but not only does this make it harder fighting knights, but also demesne users who can blind you and stun you before you get herbbalance back from whatever it is you cured last, then it's a vicious cycle, happened to me with Revan and I couldn't target him in time to avoid being chasmed.

Nevermind, there is a way to speed up the curing of blindness other than faeleaf it seems.

The reason transfix is more useful than web is that it stacks with web. Thus, it's primarily useful in combination with other hindering attacks.

You missed a few, the reasons transfix is more useful than web is because:

-it takes twice as long to writhe from.
-it can't be burned off with tipheret/summer.
-it stacks on top of any other entanglement.
-dazzle has a much shorter equilibrium recovery.
-it requires equilibrium to start writhing from. (unless that's changed)

and another thing, dazzle takes equilibrium rather than balance. whereas celestines couldn't pull of quickening web hangedman efficiently because hangedman took balance, we can now do a quickenging web dazzle dazzle, basically a 7 power feat to give two levels of writhing fast

or quicken, web, dazzle, hangedman.

I sure hope dazzle keeps its power cost, because Dazzle already is 10 times better than the Trans Jewelry ability to transfix. Dazzle can strip blindness, which Trans Jewelry cant. In exchange, Trans Jewelry costs no power, but is still useless because it cant strip blindness.

However,

Celestines also have access to trans jewelry transfixation...so we only have to dazzle once, saving 2 power. *shrug*

but doesn't the jewelery thing take balance instead of equilibrium? if its not boosted by quicken it will take too much of your post-feat attack time, remember: entangling skills aren't designed to give you extra time normally.
