He was -consumed- by the dark side... which really showed through with Hayden's emotionless and wooden acting of Anakin Skywalker.

I have not seen the 3rd movie yet, but based on the first two, I assumed that Anakin would turn evil because the jedi would not allow him to learn how to bring people back to life, or to experiment on such things. Since when his mom dies he kind of vows to use his powers to change the world and start doing wierd things like that.

Good intentions, bad methods sort of thing.

Argh, Fain ninja'ed my rant on how natural Anakin acts like. Hayden's good at making angsty and painful faces, but when he has to say anything, or even walk around, I can't describe the acting in other words as "wooden". One bad actor doesn't spoil a good film anyway.
Wait... then there's Portman, the Teen Drama Queen.

Screw the acting, my biggest peeve is the droids. Why the hell did they make the droids all completely moronic? Battle droids are made for combat; who programmed them to make idiotic comments and act retarded? 3PO, R2, and Grievous were serious, which is a relief, but only destroyer droids and Grievous's guards didn't make dumb noises and act like asshats, among non-main character droids.

I dunno, but I've heard it's a good idea to watch the cartoon Star Wars: Clone Wars before watching Star Wars III. This is because the time span that is presented in Clone Wars spans from the events of Episode II all the way to Star Wars III (call the cartoon the "filling" of the twinkie? I haven't seen the third movie, but have seen the cartoon... but I'm guessing this cartoon will ellaborate more on Anakin's transition into the Dark Side, and other events.

There is no transition Desmonda. One minute he is a Jedi, next minute he kills Jedi masters and little padawan younglings.

But yeah, regardless of whatever buildup can be claimed, one instant he's all "What have I done?" and having a consience, next thing he starts slaying children with no problem.

Well, but, back on the subject of the Clone Wars. I own Volume 1 (Volume 2 hasn't come out on DVD yet), and Anakin does more of that transition. You guys have to see it as not a gradual transition, but more of a jagged line. Remember when he pwned the Tusken Raiders in Ep2? Then he was all nice and stuff later, cause he was getting married.
In Vol1 he was a badass by killing the wannabe sith, was letting his anger get ahold of him, etc, but we see later he's somewhat back to normal. Then we have what I've seen of the movie (from the game). Anakin is all like, "I'm sorry I keep messing up master, Imma miss you on your trip, may teh schwartz be with you.

Then he goes evil and stuff. Makes -perfect- sense.

Just saw it. Episode III was awesome!

Oh my freakin' goddess. You've no idea how annoying the theatre was with the Star Wars movie coming out. Its right across from my dorms (actually not exactly "right across" but its about 10 blocks away) and I couldn't even move my car to go buy some amazing BBQ calamari (which I had the severe craving for)and go buy A Walk to Remember. *sniffles* I love that movie!

I've nothing against star wars, but seriously, when you're in between me and bbq calamari when I'm having a craving...it "aint" gonna be pretty.

Mace Windu is a Jedi Master, with a seat on the council. He's pretty damn good. Sidious makes a mistake, he loses. Same thing with Yoda; Yoda makes a mistake, he loses.

What Sylphas said. How much does Mace Windu "owns"? He's a Form VII Master, and would've killed Palpatine if Darth Vader hadn't intervened...

Meh, I guess I read too much Fantasy. I was expecting the kind of thing where the dark guys are way more powerful than the good guys, ex. Sauron.

And damn those other Jedi Knights sucked...I know Mace is a Master and all but hell, the other 3 died in like 5 seconds flat. I'd think they'd at least be kinda competent, ie not stand there and let themselves get chopped up.

EDIT: And the Darth Vader thing...I was kinda hoping for an explanation why he was called that or how they named the Sith Lords but it was just like...ok you're my apprentice, you're gonna be Darth Vader now.
