I just wanted to know when i should fight other creatures than finks gnomes and denizens of lolliprin and smoke mountain.(I am level 17 and my characters name is Vand.)
Hajamin2005-05-20 05:08:51
Until you hit 21, Newton is by far the best place. After that, it's all based off what skills you have, how good you are at curing, etc. Best to get advice from your guild once you're past newbie levels, as they have all been there and should know the best places to go.

Gnome Knights/Fink Warriors are incredibly good till level 21 in Lolliprin, both gold and experience-wise; when I played a novice I had 10k gold by the time I hit 21. It takes a quest to get to them though (Lolliprin castle) and I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to post how to do those.

Rat if you want, eventually you will want to kill things like rats/weevils, trout and platypus(if you have mending) till about level 30-35. Then get mending and health vials and head to glomdoring, alot of times you will have to shield and heal based on what you are fighting and never attack Thornbeasts/zombies because they will rip you a new hole. You will need marjoram for the wasps but I think thats about it.

you can also try doing some commodity quests in the villages after Newton, so you'll explore the realm as well as gain experience
Bauto2005-05-20 18:07:05
What about a level 48 Novice Ebonguard? I can't kill anythin wit meh wooden swords -sob-
Daganev2005-05-20 18:10:47
ratting is the worst advice in this game. Quests that help your city/commune gain power or commodities are generally much more affective.
explore the world and you will find your niche of what you enjoy but if you don't explore and find out you won't know whats best for you.
For instance, as a tae'dae ur'guard I found spectre isle and Gravediggers to be perfect for me once I was past level 21, but others can't handle that untill level 35 or so.

I'd advice graduating then blowing 150 credits or so to get virtuouso or fabled knighthood or else you're going to hate bashing even more than now.
Second advice, switch guild, warrior sucks at hunting without high Knighthood.
Daganev2005-05-20 18:16:24
good advice... umm yeah... cause theres sooo much you can do to graduate.
edit: oh wait you said ebonguard.. yeah stop bashing and start reading up on what your suppose to do

Sucking up to the guild leadership to advance you works.
Daganev2005-05-20 18:21:31
wouldn't work as an ebonguard.
Bauto2005-05-20 18:55:06
Already tried that, Dag doesn't like mes too much *snuffle* ok, well then, i'll wait for novviehood to finish, then blow away my 600 or so lessons on knighthood
Daganev2005-05-20 20:17:19
not sure who you are, but its fairly straightforward as what you have to *peer*
Xenthos2005-05-20 20:45:21
He's Bauto, one of our novices, Dag.

Bauto...weren't you a shadowdancer before? I already wondered why your titles changed.
Well, as soon as you graduated, we can spar.
And...get better swords, Ash could borrow you the money.

Oh no! A newbie fresh out of newton w/ 0 finks and 0 gnomes etc no kills, no experience, nothing beyond newbie quest can get... 6 levels from the Stewarts quest. FAR better than Newton. I've always found questing at those levels is superiour to bashing, no matter where you bash.
Shiri2005-05-20 23:24:09
I've found that I CAN'T GET A TIME SOMEONE HASN'T DONE IT. >:( Or stolen half the bloody pills from Estelbar, etc.
Sylphas2005-05-21 21:17:41
Estelbar isn't too hard to camp, if you have an hour to blow. As long as you manage to get all the toys, you've got the quest when the pills repop and the quest resets. Even if someone else hands in the pills, it just helps you out. The annoying part is when someone screws up, and you have to screw up the next repop to find that out.
