I decided to start this thread since everyone seems to be discussing it in dark corners anyways.. Now that all of the Glomdoring leadership has been chosen, what are your opinions? Do you think the right people won in city and guild? Many picked out projections of who they thought would get chosen for what, how many of your predictions came true? Weigh in!
Manjanaia2005-05-22 11:52:29
Well Richter was obviously gonna get trade minister, no questions there. Many people were surprised about Bau getting GM but the blacktalon leaders seem about right. Syrienne surprised me by getting GC of Ebonguard, as the person with the second lowest might in the tournament, but she did well and must have been the best choice. Daganev and Richter are doing a good job. The shadowdancer lineup seems sound, though the times I have seem Gwynevere, she seems a little... ditzy. Of course, I have no idea what is going on within the guild and I can't really comment. The ministers all seem like the most obvious choices. For me the problem wasn't the people chosen, but the way they conduct their business (IE very quietly) but then that was likely to be the way it would go.

I'm hugely dissapointed there's no Guido in Glomdoring
Daganev2005-05-22 17:17:54
I'm a bit dissapointed in that myself.. would have been fun, however I doubt Guido would be able to handle glmodoring unless he changed himself a bit.
Thorgal2005-05-22 22:47:21
Well they haven't even really been given a chance to lead at all, Viravain's dictatorship 'n all...so it's a little early judging I'd say.
Richter2005-05-23 14:08:55
I think that Richter fellow is going to do a smashing job at Trade Minister!
I think most of the Glomdoring leadership is too lovey though.
The only leader I have real interaction with is Daganev. He's come under some criticism, but he puts a Lot of work into stuff. The only thing I don't like is his ability to make a bunch of helpfiles that have crazy formatting and don't flow well, but hey, that's why I'm GA!
Overall, I think we're running things pretty well right now.

Yeah I'm with Thorgal. The dark Queen of Night isn't dark enough.
Richter2005-05-23 19:29:13
I have faith in the vision of her player, even if my character might agree with you.
Daganev2005-05-23 19:45:02
its very hard to be dark and to try to lead in a fashion that allows people to give input.
Richter2005-05-23 19:49:10
Also true. She's doing a moderate amount of the first, and a good deal of the second.
Stangmar2005-06-03 15:39:48
I think we gots good leadership. I applied to be GA of the shadowdancers, but didn't get it.
Erion2005-06-03 15:42:43
For a good reason. A) Jasper's far superior, and was basically BORN for the job. Well, I'm sure you can figure this out on your own.
Bau2005-06-03 16:55:25
Bau? Lovey?
I have every second person here on the forums trying to convince me I'm a total bitch. She might give the occasional impression of being snuggly, but damn, I thought her temper was more noticable than that.

Bau's a ***** in game. Gywn is too nice.
I think we're doing a good job overall. Our leadership works fairly well together, but I can't speak for the other two guilds' internal affiars.
And apparently Ethelon is a powermongering bully and is getting kicked out.

It's good to know at least someone doesn't think I'm snuggly
Yukari contested me, apparently I'm not active enough.

Ethelon? Power hungry?
Say it ain't so.

We had that situation when Skyla contested Brylle. Because Skyla is Aussie, and Brylle is American, so their times didn't overlap. I do like Skyla AND Brylle just fine, but I didn't like that that was a point of contention in the election, because even though nowadays I see Skyla more than Brylle, at the time it was the other way around because of timezones. Point being, ask around before you judge someone inactive. I see Bau more than I do Yukari when I'm on my Gloom alt. (Not that that's often, but I see Bau around a tonne on the IRC etc. too.)
Gregori2005-06-04 00:21:22
Brylle was inactive alot at the time. There was no arguing that point period. It was pure fact. Her last logins were proof of it. If a person is showing to be routinely inactive they should be contested. I personally see Yukari far more than Bau. Bau was inactive in Serenwilde, she is inactive in Glomdoring. Hope Yukari wins.

Actually, Gwynever has backed Ethelon on everything he has done, she just doesn't voice her opinions aloud. Bau on the otherhand, while she is nice, from my perspective, she seems very hesitant on making any decisions, which makes Ethelon think she's the snuggly nice one in the commune.
I loved it when Kakure said that I was a bully and was gonna get kicked out for punishing him.
Unknown2005-06-04 02:17:28
i remember that i just logged on then there you were just a beating the snot out of him. i enjoyed the show and you should punish them more like that so they will learn
