Does he have elemental runes or something?

I believe so. Yes.

Elemtal runes + wounding runes + stat runes + weaponaura (+10 to each stat) plus the ability for forgingrunes.

i'm guessing around 190 damage 160 to hit and speed, plus good strength.

What I didn't get was how he lost that. I succored you, and you had both legs at 0, head at 0, and chest at 0. I was like "wow, and he only has one crippled area, he's GOT to win."

well when he's doing 2k a combo through fullplate full deffed up (1/3 of my max health) - (No putre, if i was using putre i would have died in that fight) Its a real bad idea to be applying health to limbs rather than sipping it, and not to mention I agreed not to use omen or ectoplasm ,and he had drawdown up. Makes me wanna be a serenguard now, pity serenwilde is such a piss poor organisation.

So yeh, very close fight. note that with the nerfing of putrefaction so far into oblivion that its better to NOT put it up, and the upgrade of weaponsaura for drawdown, forestal knights just got a massive upgrade against ur'guard.

How did I win? I used crush to get me some knockdowns so he'd lose his head parry and stance, and gave him concussions and stupidity, also you'll notice I mangled his leg which he didn't cure (I love my not-cured-item alarms) and i got him on the ground long enough to get a few hits in the head in a row and stupidity messed him up long enough so I could kill him.

Actually, if he was doing 2k, that's 700 damage off every combo, when you're putreing for 400-600 (10% of current health, and your MAX is 6000 if 2000 is a third, so it's more like 400), and you putre less often than you get hit, so you should in fact have had it up.

Also, don't talk about advantages when you're not using two of your better skills.

Pish posh . Serenguard maybe - I don't know anything about them except they have Gwyl and he is cool - but Serenwilde is the epitome of awesome.

well not really. 2k a combo 1/3 of that is lighning, so call it 650.

That leaves me with, 1350 damage. putre cuts 1/3 of that, so its 400 - 450 damage off every combo, not 700.

So I putre for 400-600, which negates the damage reducing, not to mention the times he is missing me or is on the gound or hindered. I would've taken more overall damage in that fight, and it would've left me dead when i got real low.

Oh, true. But don't you have a cloak w/lightning proofing? I think they're fixed now, right?

EDIT: Post discussion on IRC, it turns out he didn't know cloaks could have lightning proofing. Nevermind.

Combo:

666 Blunt damage
333 Lightning damage

To blunt damage: 33% from Putrefaction.
Net damage: 440, Net reduction: 220

To lightning damage: 10% from proof.
Net damage: 300, Net reduction: 33

With putrefaction and a proof: 740 damage per combo, rather than 1000.

Looking at the reduction per combo on putrefaction, and considering it ticks one every two combos or so (5-6 seconds) for 500-ish damage (based on Murphy's health most of the fight) it's easy to see that putrefaction would have made no difference, and could in fact have been a negative.

I wanted to be an elfen Serenguard to start but wanted to play with Valek, so hey.

Elfen lords can have 18 strength on human balance all the time.

Lightning proofs are really only 10%? Bleh.

I lost because stupidity and amnesia got me. The curing didn't go through and I panicked. I am bad like that.

And Murphy, I wish I have the log, but you were doing 1.2k damage per swing to me (full-plate, drawdown) with omen. That's 2.4k per normal combo. I can only imagine what your pulp could do.

You can just cure Omen though.

It is possible, I already showed you, it's that you get such a small window of opportunity (say within less than 1 second to execute it).

And yeah, Icarus hurts like a tank, 1800 damage in two swings against fullplate, and Highfavor. He said his flails' damage are up in the 190 and 180 too.
