We were yelling at her not to, I swear. (But the people who were doing it hadn't realised she'd had Hissyfit Mk. 5 in the meantime and couldn't hear the channel.)
Estarra2005-05-26 05:10:55
Ok, I've reset the quest.

Go play with the Southpark avatar creator... it'll make you feel better I promise!
Sylphas2005-05-26 05:11:47
We seriously, seriously need her out of our commune. It's to the point that I refuse to do things I otherwise would help with, if it's only Munsia asking for help with them, just on the off chance she'll die trying by herself.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In regards to the battle itself, is there any period in which the state of Faethorn is fixed? I missed what started this epic conflict, but it seems like you just keep killing each others champions constantly... is there any time when the violence is not very helpful?

Yeeeah. I'm seriously going to do that whole "invisible" thing, now, really. (Except with regards to power logs. dry.gif)

Afraid it would take a bit more than a Southpark Avatar creator to make me feel better right now. After days of trying to counter the masters of the cheap tactic it begins to wear down on you very quickly.

I know *exactly* how you feel.
Syrienne2005-05-26 07:32:27
You know how I feel? I wasnt aware you'd ever had to fight Serenwilde
Shiri2005-05-26 07:42:30
No, he has to fight Magnagora and Glomdoring.

Anyway, why someone who had to team me and shieldstunwhore with Daevos while I'm lagged (not that you could have known I was lagged, but I am from 6AM to whenever I go to sleep, every day) complains about cheap tactics I have no idea.

Huh? What cheap tactics? Everything has seemed to be pretty legit.
Syrienne2005-05-26 07:50:15
Well for the record Shiri I've beaten you fairly more than once, so don't enlist it as if I HAVE to use some tactic to beat you. And I dont see how you enlist Glomdoring in the list of cheap tactics unless you want to complain about using choke in wisp, which I dont find very cheap personally considering anything else we do results in a instant flow or a snort of a spore to get away instantly.

No what I mean is I been on Lusternia since Beta and Serenwilde has consistently looked for every loophole and bug they could find to abuse and stretched it as far as could be possible. Some of their tactics while cheap are pretty smart too, are still pretty cheap. Take for instance today the total abuse of the cudgeling across enemy territory bit by having Tuek wisp me while 4 people spam cudgels to the south from Faethorn. Basically zero counter for this, pretty smart tactic but still equally cheap.

And the Munsia gusting me out of Glomdoring into Faethorn demesne to be rammed by 5 or 6 people instantly issuing me for tackling her in to counter it, yea so maybe it was a rule but in the situation I was in there was no counter, it took me abusing one rule to get another one that should have existed in the first place put in. Personally given Serenwilde has been abusing this cudgeling tactic for awhile now I wish Estarra would have instituted that change she was advised against .. but alas.

I also still have problems see why it's not seen a little unreasonable that it took 10 guards plus me paralyzing the crap out of Tuek for him to actually barely die, I've been firmly trying to protest the fact these people are entirely to tanky for awile now but that doesnt seem to get anywhere, personally I dont think anyone should be a one man army and be able to charge into guards and tank everything and make it back out.. why I don't particularly care how Demi-Gods and Titans were arranged either.. a person with some actual skill gets one of those and its lights out for everyone else.

Sure, you're a better fighter than me, I'll grant that. But if I try to get away, you're not going to stop me without help like that that doesn't give me a single chance in hell. tongue.gif

And no counter for being wisped? What about monoliths? Flamed ones that we can't leprechaun or grab away, even. Sounds like an easy counter to a good skill, not a bug.
Syrienne2005-05-26 07:57:07
Well this is where you find the inherit problem of Glomdoring lacking defenses. If we went and threw Monoliths everywhere we couldnt defend what little bit we can defend as it is, since this would completely negate our own wisping. You're right Monolith is a counter, and I never said it was a bug, I just said theres not much of a good way to counter the tactic that was being used, especially since as I found out cudgeling apparently extends pretty friggin far away as I was running and still being slammed.
Elryn2005-05-26 07:57:47
Although I don't regard it as "Glomdoring's" fault, I have been killed twice by Glom members using choke to trap my dreambody and cause a miswoven coalesce. Did I scream 'BUG ABUSE!', 'ALL GLOMDORINGERS ARE EXPLOITERS!' and so on? Of course not.

Remember your view will be skewed by the organization to which you belong. It is the same for all of us, but we must remember that there aren't "Serenwilde" type players and "Glomdoring" type players, there are just players who choose one or the other (or even both).
Syrienne2005-05-26 08:04:02
Well Elryn your example is a bit weak there. First off theres no way to tell theres a dreamweaver in the room unless A.) Your Hit by them or B.) They announce themselves. On that basis it would be pretty difficult to abuse that bug if we had even known it existed. No the incidents I speak of are times when the people abusing the knows knew what they were doing and did it anyways. Prime example is during the war between Magnagora and Serenwilde, Tuek KNOWING the aeon bug existed, used it anyways.
Morik2005-05-26 08:04:23
I hate to say it (!), and I'm putting this out just as a random comment, but the feedback from the people involved here reminds me of the feedback from Achaea landmarking, before it was ripped out. Why are you wearing people out? You want more players, more active players, not less because they're worn out or don't stand a chance in group combat against a Murphy.

No, they saw the bodysnap message about me awakening, and suddenly my physical body was there. Then they killed me. That is what I meant.
