All that you've really proved is that Putre isn't very good for someone in your position (high health, lots of defences). For someone with lower health the percentile (since apparently a fair portion of the amount it drains is off of your current health according to the announce posts) will be much lower but the damage reduction will be the same. With 6k health it doesn't surprise me that it works out that way. You could try starting at 3k health (and don't heal up to full 6k health) and see how much of a difference it is then. Obviously you wouldn't want to be that low normally due to being near/in insta-kill range but other people may only have that amount total.
Still, if high health like that isn't TOO far out of normal for people with lots of skills to up their Constitution (nevermind that a percentile drain actually makes it worse for people with the health increasing artifact or other with high health like Titan/Demigod, though the second isn't too big of an issue yet) then perhaps it should still be looked at.
Of course if you have more than one person hitting you, the Putre drain will still be the same, but you'll be cutting a larger amount of damage.
When testing, it's very important to think of as many situations as you can if you want results to be as accurate as possible. Just 1 person hitting you when you have high health doesn't cover all the possible applications. It may not be very good with one person attacking, but with four it could be a whole different story.
Situational usage.

I applaud your efforts in trying to make a concise argument, but you clearly have no experience or a handle on the skill's aspects. Putre is now ineffective in all situations. Numbness vastly overshadows any benefit that putre gives group combat. Daevos, unfortunately it seems that you're right about the issue being ignored. Marcalo, that's a realistic medium for the skill in that it would cost 5p or more to activate.

i've done some testing with it on the test server and against 5 archons *celest guards for those who don't know* i died in about 6 rounds of attacks, with out it up i was able to last 8.
