Tuek is right on this one, having it distinguish between enemies and allies is a bad idea, as was contagion. It should hit EVERYONE who is in the room off prime, and only work on declared people on prime.

This would make it more balanced. I personally see ectoplasm as my form of vines in spars where your enchantment doesn't run out.

As far as team v team goes, nothing is cheap. There isn't honour in team fights, it win at all costs (without abusing bugs)

Personally, I'd give my right nut to swap ectoplasm for aeon...I can think of so many better uses for it.

You know what else is cheap? Attacking ethereal Glom to try and keep us from getting totems set up. My heart goes out to you guys over having to buy more cleanse.

I think ectoplasm should maybe be targetable. If it's targeted to one person, it costs no power, and otherwise costs 3.

That actually sounds reasonable to me. Or maybe make it 2 power to hit everyone. And drop the equilibrium time on the targetted one, so you recover from it more quickly.

Sounds Legit, just drop the equilibrium time some. How would focusing your spirit cure it . That would be like curing a broken arm by getting your foot massaged.(Yes I know you were joking)

Hmmmm... Yea, I think the question is more of, why does cleanse cure it and NOT focus spirit.

Though with Focus Spirit costing upwards of 1k mana a pop (1/4 of your max) it wouldn't be something to rely on. Might make Nihilists have easier wrack targets.

EDIT: Because not everyone has OOC cash to waste on transing things just to cure Ectoplas, which is fairly low in Necromancy.

I was suggesting two cures, not just focus spirit, Torak.

I'd say Focus Spirit would have to cure it by the same concept that Invoke Summer/Evoke Tipheret cures webbing.

I still don't think focus spirit applies to it. Besides even if you did focus spirit against someone who was waiting for it with wrack it would screw you over.

It'd be nice if it did come to think of it. Focus Spirit doesn't cure enough, especially to warrant it's 1/4 max mana cost. Will I waste around 1250 mana to cure Puncture? No. 1250 mana to cure Faeriefire/Daeg rune? Nope. 1250 mana to cure Treebane? No again. 1250 mana to cure Omen? Probably not, I'll just wait 12 seconds, maybe web instead. 1250 mana to cure any of the other not harmful afflictions that are cured by it? Nah.

Yeah I was thinking about that, but I see Ectoplasm as more of a physical thing, hence why I don't see spirit going for it. As far as making FS more useful it would be great. Besides if they changed it to being a more spiritual hindering thing then soulwash could cure it instead..which as I currently understand isn't used.
