I HATED Achaea's system where you HAVE to take the interview, you can't just wait 24 hours. It was stupid. I only got off of novicehood in the Apostates, the Tanjinn, and the Warlocks.Â

They've changed Achaea's system. It's way better now: instead of joining a Guild, you can just take the class. After something like 20 hours playing time and level 40, you can choose all the guildskills of that particular class, and do whatever the hell you want.
Of course, it's rife with abuse, like Mhaldorians making forestal alts just for potions, but it's still fun.

Novice interviews suck. I've been doing them forever, every single character I've played for the least amount of time has been at least a novice aide (along with the occasional HoN) and I hated interviews, especially the ones that were a list of questions some sadistic prick had thought up.
Poor newbies.
Poor newbies.

I know. And I'm just sitting here comfortably, in the front of my screen, and laugh at Achaea's guild-centric, fascist world crumble! CRUMBLE! Take that, Arcanists, the guild of rat racers. Take that, Magi, personified evil of Achaea! Take that, forestals, beaureaucrats and hoggers of potions!!
It isn't abuse, it only destroys the weak fundations of the old, rotten system. It's so much of abuse as overthrowing communism in Poland was one.

Unless they've changed drastically, Sentinels are actually rather easy. Unless you apparenlty get some asshole for your interview.
Of course, mine went about 2 hours, and were specifically designed with questions there were no right answers to. They were fun, and I learned a lot more about the person than the standard "What is more important?" questions ever allowed me to.

interviewing for the ur'guard is so easy, you ask certain questions, then gauge there answer, then if you just don't like them tell them they didn't get in, if you did then tell them they did, pretty cut and dry, i like being a ass and argueing with them, then telling them they didn't get in because they back talked a officer.

I loved the Geos whole novicehood thing. Hell, I just love the Geos. (And the Blacktalon of course, because right now, if you've got a brain, you pass!)

I'm with Ceres. And I did get an asshole of an interviewer.
Sylphas2005-06-04 03:30:19
Hmm. We might have a different definition of easy, I think, or a different definition of asshole. Anyone want to do a mock interview with me and find out? *innocent*

My favourite part comes right after my most hated part.
My most hated part is when you get some -dumbass- who doesn't understand basic questions, let alone know the answer to them. ("Uh, what do you mean by the megalith? What's that?") You get the idea.
My favourite part is when the guild just gets sick of said idiot, and kicks their ass out. And tells them never to come back. And then I torment and abuse them with afflictions for a while, because they keep calling me on, and I enlist people to keep healing them, so my Phantoms don't accidentally kill them.
Followed shortly by my second most hated part, when certain unnamed GR19 former champions decide they're going to interfere by killing the person, and I get suspect status as a result.
But I'm not bitter. No, really!

Having someone in Imperian (And once in the Geomancers) offer me sexual favors for a pass.
